D.va x Reader: Game On

Chapter 1: Welcome Back

K.O. Appeared on the screen as you were victorious, beating NorthStar in the Super Street Fighter 4 tournament. You threw a fist in the air as the crowd chanted your gamertag. You shook NorthStar's hand and you were safe to move onto the next bracket. You walked back to the gamer area to meet up with your teammates, everyone giving you high fives.

"Nice job, mate." said Elliot Smith, better known as SydneyLambo. Obviously he was Australian.

"Excellent work out there, (y/n)." Werner Schultz said, known to the world as BigTree.

"You're quite unstoppable as Cammy, aren't you?" Sakura Tanaka said. Her gamertag was just her first name.

You're all smiles at your team. Then Elliot tells you that someone is here to see you. You walk a bit and see a brown haired girl waiting for you.

"Hey, (y/n). It's been a while." She said.

"Hana!" You say and run up to her, you two doing a friendly hug. "You're back from the Meka service?"

"Not exactly. I'm still a meka pilot, but I work for a different organization. If you'd like, we can talk about it at dinner after the tournament." She says.

Your teammates smirk at you two.

"I mean as friends catching up. Not a date." Hana says fairly fast, hands in front of her in a defense position, blushing.

You laugh. "That sounds fine."

All of you guys are talking when you get called up for the final duel against a guy named Blondie.

The announcer announces you two and you go to the center stage and shake hands. You take your spots and grip the arcade stick. You, of course, pick Cammy, your main. Blondie picks Vega. This game would be best 3 out of 5.

"Make P0W3R proud!" Mercury, or Felix Johansson says.

The round starts and you win easily, going to only half a bar of health. The second round is a bit harder, with Blondie edging out in the end.
The third round you were losing, but you use your ultra and K.O. Blondie.

"Nice one." Blondie says.

"Thanks."

Fourth round comes around and you lose. You weren't too focused that round, and accidentally spiral arrowed (it's a move) which caught you off guard. Final round comes along.

You look to the audience and see D.va giving you the thumbs up. You smile to yourself and focus.

The round lasts a while, and time ends. There's a hush among the crowd, seeing who had the most health in the end. The screen says Cammy Wins and a cheer erupts from the crowd. You raise your hands in victory. Then you shake Blondie's hand. You both say good game and then you are handed the trophy, which has two arches with "Street Fighter Champion (gamertag)" and Cammy underneath it. Then you go back to meet your team.

You're congratulated by everyone, getting high fives and pats on the back. You get a hug from Sakura. Then Hana hands you some water, which you practically drink the whole thing. Gaming is thirsty work. After a bit more of congratulating and an interview, you head back to the hotel to get ready for dinner with Hana.

Two hours later you pick up Hana from the convention center (she had a panel) and you two head to dinner. She picked this Korean BBQ place that you hadn't heard of before. Then again, you hadn't been to this city before. This was your first time visiting Seattle.

After some time, you two get your table.

"So, how's life been for the famous D.va?" You ask.

She giggles and says. "Quite eventful. Obviously I do my streams and I have to do a bit of advertising for Hero of my Storm. Speaking of which it comes out next week."

"I'll be sure to see it." You tell her.

"But enough about me. How's life been treating you, (y/n)?"

"It's been fine. P0W3R has been doing fairly well, but not as good without you. Are you coming back?"

Hana frowns and is about to respond when the food arrives. You thank the waitress and then Hana continues.

"About that, I have good news and bad news, but there's more good news than bad news. Which do you want to hear first?"

"Let's start with the bad news. Best to get that over with."

Hana sighs and eats some beef. "This doesn't taste like it does at home."

"Is that the bad news?"

Hana laughs at that. "No. Listen, (y/n). *sigh* I have to resign from P0W3R until further notice."

(A/n) 2k views later the 1k view special is out! I'm still mostly going to update tracer x reader, but I might focus on this a bit just to get it up to speed. As for the Ruby x reader, I'm really just out of ideas right now, so I'll update that if I get some or someone has ideas.
