Chapter 29: Work

Four months later

It was approximately 8:30 in the morning as you and Hana just entered the P0W3R studio. Today was gonna be another busy day. You had quite a busy schedule ahead of you two today. First was a podcast with Elliot and Werner, then you had to give a tour of the P0W3R studio as Hana filmed it, then you had to write one of the scripts for a skit. Hana would be editing while you were writing.

You entered yours and Hana's office to put down some of your things before heading to the podcast room. Elliot and Werner were already there making sure the equipment was ready. The room wasn't anything too grand. There was a table with microphones and a couple of cameras in case someone wanted to watch the podcast. There was also a wall where any special celebrity guest you had on would sign their name onto the wall. You had a few production guys here too, making sure everything was in order. Soon the four of you were given the green light to start.

"Hello and welcome to the P0W3R Podcast. I'm Elliot Smith and I have three guests joining me today. First is the German gamer who thinks bratwursts are terrible, Mr. Werner Schultz." Elliot announces.

"Danke Elliot." Werner says.

"Our next two guests need no introduction, but they're getting one anyway. They're the gaming community's favorite gamer couple and most likely the reason why you've tuned into this podcast, Mr. (f/n) (l/n) and Mrs. Hana Song."

"Thanks Elliot." You say.

"I'm sure there's more than just one reason people have tuned in besides us." Hana says.

"Oh please. You alone probably make up at least a quarter of our fanbase, Hana." Werner says.

Hana blushes and you say "For those who are only listening to the podcast, Hana is blushing like crazy." This earns laughs from Elliot and Werner and a playful punch from Hana.

"Actually I should say five guests." Elliot says.

"Yeah. Can't forget the baby." Hana says. "I'll reveal whether it's a boy or girl later in the podcast."

"Well we'll be looking forward to that. Now, things we'll be covering in the podcast. We'll be giving you an update on P0W3R things like schedules and whatnot. We'll be talking about the new game from Bethesda as well as the Dark Souls reboot. Bloody hell it's harder than the original."

"You need more skill." Werner says.

"Just because you died less times does not mean you have more skill!"

"Sounds like something someone with no skill would say."

"Oh shut up!"

You and Hana laugh as Elliot tries to continue the introduction.

"Let's see, what else besides Hana's news? Oh yeah! We released that charity video a couple days ago for the support of the families who lost loved ones do to the recent terrorist attacks in Chicago. For those who missed it, we all covered I Won't Back Down by Tom Petty in support of the first responders. In that was a link to donating for the cause and just after two days we have raised over one hundred thousand dollars. Thank you all so much."

You all applaud and Hana says "Yeah. Thank you all for your help. It's not too late to donate. We'll have a link in the description if you want to donate. Any little bit helps."

"Yeah. There have been at least 20 deaths and 130 injured so far. Two of those deaths and at least 15 of those injured were first responders. With your help, we can help both the families of the first responders and the innocents." You say.
