Chapter 27: Flashback: Officer D.va

(A/n) Finally the police chapter! After 9 years development, hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

You had just arrived at the police station with Hana. Despite Hana insisting to be professional, she still wore those bunny whiskers of hers.

"Are you sure you want to wear those whiskers? We're supposed to make the Junkers scared." You say.

"Whiskers? Not when I'm fighting, babo (바보). This is war paint!" She says, making her hands look like claws. "Grrrrrr!"

You laugh then ruffle your hand through hair. "You're the most adorable cop around."

"Can I have my hat back now?"

You place it on her head and she giggles since it was covering her eyes. She adjusted her hat and you two entered the briefing room. There were already a couple of people and omnics in the room, and they took notice of you two. They welcomed the two new guys and got back to what they were doing before you walked in. You look around the room and see a pink box on a table. You know what it is, and before you could go there, Hana has already taken two donuts out of the box and given one to you.

"Thank you, officer D.va." You say.

"You're welcome, officer (gamertag)." She replies.

"Alright officers. Settle down. Let's start briefing over the mission." Commissioner Rudd says as he enters the room and places some papers on his desk.

Everyone takes the nearest seat as he begins to go over the mission. He explains a few procedures and possibilities of what may happen. He also introduces you two to everyone and explains why you two were here and makes it clear that they do not kill Junkrat and Roadhog.

"Alright. Is everyone clear on the mission?" He says, which gets an affirmative yes from everyone. "Alright. Let's get suited up and head out."

You head to the lot where the police cars are as well as Hana's mech. You wouldn't be using the cars because of your suit. You made sure Hana went into her mech safely and she gave you a thumbs up when she was in. All you had to do was wait for the signal or see explosions. After waiting for about three minutes, you hear Commissioner Rudd's voice.

"Alright. Junkers have begun to rob the bank. Presume formation. Remember, these guys are crazy, so expect the unexpected." You hear on your intercoms.

"10-4." Hana replies. "Ready officer (gamertag)?"

"You bet officer D.va." You reply and you both fly to the area.

You both hide to the side of the bank. The police have situated themselves outside of it, ready for combat. They're behind some barriers and on some buildings. All you had to do was wait for the two fugitives to exit the bank and engage.

Soon you see them. The infamous Junkrat and Roadhog of Junkertown. They have quite a few bags of money with them, all being carried by Roadhog. They seem a bit surprised when they walk out of the bank.

"Sydney Police! Jamison Fawkes and Mako Rutledge. You are both under arrest." You hear one police officer say.

"Uhhh, Roadie, we may have a bit of a problem." Junkrat says.

Roadhog grunts.

"Guess we gotta have a little bit of fun!" Junkrat says as he begins lobbying some grenades. Those grenades don't go far or even blow up before they're eaten by Hana's defense matrix.

"Denied!" Hana says.

"Oi! I worked hard on those! Roadie, do your thing."

Roadhog laughs and readies his hook. You make a shield thanks to your Vishkar suit and fly in, throwing the shield and hitting his hook before he can hook Hana.
