Setting: it's now 2013; so our main character is 13 years old, since Tony and Pepper last saw her: the events in Iron Man 2 happened in 2010, followed by Thor landing on earth & Captain America being defrosted in 2011, the Avengers first assembling in 2012, and is just after the events of Iron Man 3 & Thor 2 so it kinda tights into around like...just before the book, "Unexpectedly(book 1)" takes place or around the same time I guess. Anyway; Avengers Tower, the Avengers are sitting around-drinking, talking etc.- they were the last of the party guests at Tony & Pepper's engagement soirée and consisted of Black Widow, Hawk-Eye, Falcon, Captain America, Rhodey, Dr. Banner, and of course Tony & Pepper. They're all currently in the middle of a game of 20 questions since Tony got so drunk and spilled the bombshell of his having twins...
"So you had a fling with some model thirteen years ago and now you have twins somewhere out there in the world?" Nat says in disbelief
"It was always a joke that you had a kid out there," Clint says
"But now you're telling us you have two?" Sam asks
"And the one you met is the nameless girl with mood changing eyes..." Steve says like it's ludicrous
"Yep," Tony says popping the P
"I'm not buying," Nat say
"Pep saw her, Rhodey saw her, greeny saw her, heck! JARVIS even has it all on record; isn't that right?" Tony says to no one in particular
"I don't know about mood changing eyes," Rhodey says, "but I did see her."
"I'm still not convinced," Steve says
"Very well Soldier boy; JARVIS pull up all footage from five years ago when the kid first showed but," Tony slurs, "and play everything."
"Very good sir," JARVIS response
As the feed of five years ago plays everyone falls silent, Pepper runs out of the room crying and unable to watch the horrors again due to feeling like she was reliving them. Tony continued drinking away the pain as he watches the screen with dull eyes. Banner averted his gaze to try and keep the other guy in and Rhodey took it all in like a soldier; emotionless and stone faced. When the feed ends the silence continues on; people not knowing what to say or if anything should even be said.
"Thank you JARVIS," Tony says
"Your most welcome sir," the voice response
"So she doesn't have a name and it's been five years since you last saw her?" Nat asks
"Yup," Tony says popping the P again
"If she was eight then then she's gotta be around thirteen now," Clint adds
"So?" Tony says
"So she's probably changed Tony; looks different now," Sam comments
"Your point?" Tony slurs
"How do you expect to find her if you don't know what she looks like now?" Steve asks
"Simple," Tony says
"What?" Rhodey asks
"I'm a genius," Tony says
"Not with all the liquor you're drinking your not," Pepper says entering the room again and taking the bottle of scotch he was cradling away
