Chapter 17: TMS- The Mix Squad (Elena Ash)
We'd come up with a team name. It was TMS or The Mix Squad. It was named after all of our mixed history. The plan was set. Earlier I had gotten out my baby brother, Peter, and set up everything. The camp had a huge stash of grenades that I lined through the important areas of the camp. Vincent and Benjamin were to provide a distraction by setting up a noise maker at the front gate. Carter and I, after he begged to work with me, will sneak in through the side gate. Christy will watch Peter.
At 11:30 Vincent's group went to work. They set up the noise maker by 11:45. About five minutes later biters were packed against the fence. Carter and I moved into action. He cut a hole in the fence and we moved in. At midnight we snuck through the building to grenade number one. We made a line of gunpowder from the first grenade to our hole in the fence. I struck the match and lit it. We ran back to our camp. When we arrived Vincent and Benjamin weren't there. I was about to ask Christy when the sky lit up and the world exploded into thunder.
