Chapter 2: The Alabamian Republic (Joel Hixon)
"Brother, come quick," said my sister, Taylor.
I followed her to the radio room. My other sister, Carlie, was already in there.
"This is the UPG Radio. We are getting reports now that the Head of the House, Carter Edwards Jr., is dead. We will have more on this later," the radio said.
It sounded like my plan had worked.
A few hours later the radio came back on and said, "We have reports the Mr. Edwards was murdered. This is terrible news. The memorial service will be live tomorrow from eight to noon tomorrow."
Step one was complete. I slept sound that night, ready for step two.
