I Found You

Sasuke's POV

Shikamaru and I sat in my tent plan on our next move. We planned on heading in the direction of Suna, the location of the last known hideout of the Akatsuki.

"Is this really worth a shot, Shikamaru? I don't think he's stupid enough to hide in the same location." I asked him.

He smirked at me and began laughing.

"Unless he wants you to find him, Baka! Maybe he hasn't made an effort to find you because he expects you to know where he is. I have a good feeling about this." Shikamaru said as he stood up, "We will be leaving at dawn. Be ready to head out."

I nodded to him and decided to go ahead and sleep. If he was right, I would need all of my strength. I was going to kill Itachi, no matter what it took.

The next morning

I awoke to a bunch of talking and a very familiar voice. I left my tent to see Kakashi and his hound pakkun.

"Kakashi? What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"I am going with you to Suna. I'm not going to let him get away with what he has done to her." He said to me.

I smiled to him and motioned for him to walk with me. We headed to the nearby river and sat down.

"I swear to you Kakashi, I will make him pay for this, even if it kills me. If I die today, please take care of her." I pleaded to him.

He placed his hand on my shoulder and smiled at me.

"I am not going to let you die today. She is going to need you more than she will ever need me. I can't give her what you do. We are in this together. Shikamaru and his team were not commanded here. They came on their own. We will all help you." He said to me.

All of a sudden my eyes shot to a nearby tree. I could've sworn I heard the leaves move. I heard a chuckle come from the tree and I quickly grabbed my Katana.

"Foolish brother, I have been waiting for you for so long now. Seems the tables have turned. I have found you. Tsukuyomi."

All of a sudden the world around me began to spin and turn red. I looked down and I was strapped to a cross. Dammit.

"In this world I control time. You will now suffer pain for 72 hours.  Prepare for the worst pain of your life, brother." Itachi said to me before laughing menacingly.
