Chris, as promise-keeping a boyfriend as he ever was, did go to get tested.

Waiting two days for the results felt like a continuous cycle of torment. He was certain he wasn't carrying any diseases; ever since he'd stumbled through the door into the care of a frantic Eva, he'd stopped looking at girls altogether, much less flirting with them. Of course, he had to converse with some of them, old time friends or friends' girlfriends, but that was the extent. His focus had totally turned towards Eva.

William had texted Chris, asking him if he wanted to go to a party with him that night. Feigning a hangover, Chris declined. He had found out from a mutual friend of theirs, also a Penetrator, let him know that the Yakuza are now begging for a fight with William.

Chris sighed. The last time he took a hit on William's behalf, he wound up at Eva's doorstep.

He still smiled at the memory.

Opening his phone, and remembering what Eva had told him weeks ago, he went on his Instagram account and posted the following:

At this point Chris looked into Jonas' Instagram profile; besides the fact that he had left Eva a wreck after they'd broken up, he really didn't know anything about him or their relationship.

Seeing pictures of Eva obviously did spike some jealousy within Chris, as it would in any boyfriend.

Chris' phone pinged.

Miles away, Eva's phone lit up.

Chris smiled into his phone. He loved how utterly supportive she was of him.

Chris didn't realized until later on that it irked him that Eva had used the same reply as Jonas; that it was either purely coincidental, something he seriously doubted, or that she had adopted his replying ways over a long period of texting him. Neither option sat rather well with him.
