This chapter is in the prince point of view when Selene told him, of her curse.
"I must marry a prince, by the time I'm 21," Selene says. The words that she said, hits me. This is why she's here, this is why she needs to be perfect. So she had a shot of marrying me, to get rid of her curse. I have just doomed her, and I didn't even know about it. Her life was in my hands, and I gave it up. I need to make it up, but how? Can I call off the engagment, and marry Selene instead? No I think that's against the rules.What can I do? I know, I can have a secret wedding! I turn around, and I'm about to tell Selene my great idea, but she's gone. She left. Then it hits me, she will die, and that's the last straw my heart breaks. A piece of my soul leaves with her. The girl I loved, but couldn't have....gone. I fall down, and silent sobs wrack my body. I failed her. I lay there until dawn, and my eyes slowly drift off into sleep.
