Denmark x Reader: Beer

You were visiting Copenhagen with Mathias, your best friend. One day, he decided to treat you to a drink. The two of you stumbled into a bar.

It was dimly lit, posters advertising the many different kinds of alcohol. There were small tables beside the windows. A fireplace cheered and cracked its golden streaks of heat. There were a good crowd of locals sipping drinks and having conversations.

You looked around a bit, whilst Mathias picked a seat at the bar. Joining him, he began to order his drink(s).

The bartender completed his requests and turned to you for your order. Mathias began to sip at his bottle.

"I'll take a Heineken, please."

Mathias spat out his beer, and turned to you in disbelief. The old bartender chuckled, preparing your drink. You received your drink and took a sip. 

"What?" You looked at Mathias, his cerulean eyes still wide as saucers.

"Out of all the places to get beer, you come to Copenhagen to get a Heineken!?!" 

"Yeah. It's good." You took another sip of the beer.

"But we have good beers as well! If not, even better!" Mathias declared, his hands thrown up in the air. "Like this pilsner!" The Dane swiped a bottle from a customer, quickly mumbling an apology. He held up the bottle in your face. 

"Okay." 

Mathias gave the beer back to the customer and ordered a Carlsberg Pilsner. He slid the bottle towards you.

"Try it! You'll ditch that stuff!" He pointed at the green bottle. You gave a small chuckle and placed the green bottle down. 

"Alright, I'll try it." You sipped at the bottle. Mathias smiled at this, happy that you stopped drinking the Dutch beer.

"Well? How is it?" You finished the bottle and licked the foam off your lips. 

"Pretty good. But..."

"What?" Mathias took another sip of his beer.

"I'm still drinking the Heineken."
