Chapter 17

Ethan and I walk into the back of Party City already regretting our life choices. Because of this bet, both of us now have to put on a "fashion show" for Gray and Lauren.

But I'm also kinda excited. I mean Ethan in a sexy Halloween costume? Sign me the fuck up.

"You go get my costumes in large and I'll get your's in what a small?"

"Yeah that'll work. 3 costumes each. Text me when you're about to pay." I said.

"That works."

Ethan walks over to the women's area to find my costumes. I perused the rows of costumes in front of me.

The first thing that caught my eye was Rocky's golden speedo from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I laugh at the thought of Ethan in this. I put it in my basket.

I looked over for a little longer until I saw the perfect costume.

Magic Mike.

I smirk at the thought of him doing a little male performer performance. I add it to Rocky's speedo.

Hey im at the counter already.

I looked at Ethan's text and responded with a quick ok.

For my final costume I went to the women's section. I debated whether to get the skin tight Catwoman costume or the Poison Ivy outfit. I went with the the Catwoman.

Ethan is gonna wear fucking spandex.

I went to the cashier where Ethan was paying.

"Hey there Echan," I wrap my arms around his strong torso.

He looks down at me and smiles when I put my basket on the counter. I distract him so he doesn't see what's in the basket.

He wraps his arms around my shoulders as the cashier scans the prices. I make sure Ethan looks at me the whole time so I know he didn't see what I got. He's so cozy.

"Your total comes to $45.36 miss." Marcus, the name on the cashier's name tag, says.

I hand him a fifty but E pushes my hand down getting his own wallet out. I roll my eyes as I pay before he can even get it out.

"Really Sky? My gentleman reputation is now tainted."

"What gentleman reputation? I only know a savage reputation."

He pushes my head into his chest playfully muffling my laughs.

"You guys are my relationship goals. My boyfriend needs to catch up," Marcus says.

"Oh no we're not together. He's just my best friend."

"That's what they all say in the beginning, honey," he winks at me and hands me the bag of costumes.

I smile at him, "Have a nice day."

"You too miss."

Ethan and I walk down the sidewalk and head towards my house since it's a bit closer. We've already texted Lauren and Grayson to go there.

When we arrive, we greet my parents who are sitting in the kitchen.

"Hi kids. Grayson and Lauren are waiting in your room," my mom says looking up from her phone.

"Ok thanks mom."

Already in my room, Lauren and Grayson are cuddled up on my bed taking selfies.

"Hey lovebirds. I hope nothing other than this cutesy shit happened in my room."

"Don't worry Sky. We're not like you or Ethan," Lauren says rolling her eyes.
