Sirens

It's been two hours and counting. Trust me when I say, this situation only got worse. More infected, louder music, and it's probably not going to end anytime soon.

Mia and Dan are trying to talk out a plan with Caleb while Lucy cleans Gretchen's cuts with their own bottle of vodka they put in my bag. Disappointed I couldn't get to it first? Yes.

Do I really need some alcohol right now? Hell yes.

With everything that's going on right now, I definitely need something to take my mind off of it. I'm the only one not active in the conversation of trying to get out. Seems pointless until the damn music stops. I actually like the songs that are being played so at least that's nice. Haven't heard a single song in a while. It's nice.

"Hey, look. There's no more coming from the back. We can get out from the back and make a run for it to that house over there." Caleb claimed with his face squished on my back window.

"What if one of them hears us? We would get overrun." Dan asked. Good point.

"We wouldn't. The music is loud enough for them to be distracted while we go. We can't stay in the car. They can break the windows and that would definitely get us killed." Mia stated while shifting on top of me.

"Ok, so Lucy will get two duffle bags and Caleb the other two. You both will go first while Gretchen and I cover you. Dan will be covering us two and Ace will get the backpacks and close the trunk. Anyone got any questions?" Mia stated. The girl knew how to build a plan.

As no one said anything Mia just nodded and took out her knife. Lucy and Caleb grabbed the duffle bags and opened the trunk silently. They stepped out and looked back at Mia and Gretchen who were stepping down with weapons in hand. Dan went ahead and got behind them while I climbed out of my seat and took the backpacks.

I stepped out of the car and closed the trunk slightly. We all walked towards the house in silence with our eyes scavenging everywhere for something helpful. I was half hoping to find a switch somewhere but that didn't happen.

As we got to the porch of the house I turned around and covered everyone while they opened the door. I noticed that the houses that were in the middle of the street were the only ones blasting music. As I looked around more I also noticed the big speakers hammered into the different parts of those houses. This is getting too weird for me.

"What the hell? The door is bolted in." Dan exclaimed.

"What?" I asked turning around immediately.

I walked up the three stepped stairs and stood in front of the door. It was definitely bolted in. Someone really doesn't want anyone here and I totally got the message.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Lucy asked breaking the silence.

I said nothing. Nothing. That's what we're supposed to right now. We can't get back to the car, too much of a risk. We definitely can't try and leave, too much ground to cover. This is making me anxious.

Mia went down the steps and stood in front of the house inspecting it slowly. She then turned around and looked directly to the middle of the street a couple feet away from where we were. Just stood there staring at the cramped up infected trying to reach towards the speakers. They were climbing each other insanely as if they were desperate. The things were killing machines.

"What the hell." Mia said confused.

Everyone was distracted looking at the door to hear but I understood clearly. I went down the steps and stood beside her with my hands in the pockets of my jacket. Moving sideways I stared harshly at the other end of the street and saw a red and blue light. The light was flicking on and off quite quickly and I immediately New it was a cop car.

As the car drives a little further into the street I can see is a very old beat up cop car. The ones that I see in those 80's crime movies. Only that the car that I'm looking at is chipped up and the front is sunken in. It's calling my attention that there is more than one person in the car, and that there are two other cars parked behind it.

The music suddenly stops and clicking sounds are heard.

"Here live we present The living End playing their song Prisoner of society."

The speakers blasted sounds of cheering and drum sticks after the announcement. The song started playing and in the distance I could see a head of curly red hair make it's way out of the car. Not through the door, but on the roof. It seems as if the cop car had a sunroof attached to it, but that's not possible since it's such an old car. At this point I'm completely dumbfounded.

I grabbed Mias arm and dragged her with me towards the porch. We walked towards the left side of it and leaned on the wooden surface observing what was happening. Everyone was doing the same.

Dan was leaning against the door with his arms crossed

Dan was leaning against the door with his arms crossed. Gretchen sat down with Lucy in one of the steps and looked out while Caleb walked down the the steps and got his hands in his back pockets and stared. We were all interested in what was about to take place.

The red haired girl suddenly took out a revolver and held it tightly against her chest. Then suddenly she banged the roof of the car twice and the car speeded down the street, straight towards the infected.

Why do I have a feeling that this is not going to end well?
