Alright, I already mentioned this once in Black River, but I'm gonna say it again. Please pretty please start commenting more! It means a lot of this story especially since I'm scared a story with so many OCs won't get much attention. I think you'll all be rather happy with the events of this chapter though... ;)

Micah finished counting out all the dosages he needed into small plastic containers set out on a silver tray. Picking the tray up, he began to walk to the kitchen.

"Paris?" He sang as he pushed the door open, "Guess what? We have a new guy."

A lengthy man stood on the other side of the center counter, cutting up carrots. He had gorgeous long black hair that was currently pinned out of his face. So far, Ryan had only seen vampire employees. It was a shock, honestly. Vanaheim wasn't exactly known for their hospitality where vamps were concerned but apparently if they're employees at the asylum, they get a free pass.

"Why'd you ask me to guess if you were going to tell me?" He wandered, somehow having a thicker French accent than Micah.

"Hmm, fair enough. Ryan, this is Paris. He's the person that makes our job a Hell of a lot easier because he has the patience to cook individual meals for each patient each day. They get grumpy if they don't get what they want. Plus, some are on special diets. A lot of patients in the Play Pin ward suffer from forms of regression, which is why we call it the Play Pin. They're like children stuck in older bodies."

"And the only way Micah can get them to take their meds is by giving them a treat." Paris replied as he walked towards the pantry. He grabbed one of the many bags of animal crackers that he'd organized previously along with three lollipops. Then he stopped at the fridge to get a pudding cup, pushing the door shut with his hip afterwards.

"Thanks, love." Micah sweetly said while his coworker set everything on his tray. "Currently there's only three long term patients in that ward. Yuki, which he'd technically Shae's patient because it's his husband, don't ask, long story. Anyways, he prefers more fruity tweets like lollipops. And he's comforted by having a little control, so I always give him a choice. Friday's mentally the youngest and because of that she loves stuff like pudding and jello. And Joy, she has extremely bad OCD. So, I give her animal crackers and she spends twenty minutes organizing them before she eats them."

"How long did it take you to figure all that out?" Ryan asked, walking along beside the taller vampire.

He chuckled, "Not that long, actually. As long as they trust you, they'll let you in. It's true what they say; They can sense your fear. You have no reason to fear these guys though. They have temper tantrums from time to time but for the post part, they're good."

The hall they'd come in was decorated just as you'd expect a children's hospital to be. The walls were painted blue with stars and other whimsical things. It was all surprisingly very elementary. When you see the outside of this place, you'd expect it to be like a horror movie inside. This was the cleanest hospital he'd ever been in, Ryan thought as he continued to observe his surroundings.
