Kiapolo struggled to get back to his feet, wiping the blood from his mouth. "You've never killed me in the past, but I know, it's different now." He panted, "I have to say, Ash, if there was anyone I wouldn't be ashamed to say was my end, it's you. You're a worthy opponent."

Her familiars were unconscious on the beach around them. The fight had gotten close, but in the end, fire will always vanquish the weak. Overhead, shadow creatures were rushing towards the manor. They'd been trying to get in for awhile now but somehow the hunters kept them at bay.

"I won't kill you. I don't spill blood on my own hands." She said, "The shadows trying to get into the mansion, who's controlling them?"

He chuckled, "Who isn't? Our power is a hive mind." As he glanced up, some of the soldiers suddenly vanished, "And it looks like one of our own was just taken down."

"So, you're saying with each member of the legion that falls, the weaker the shadow army becomes?" She asked.

"Precisely. Another reason for you to kill me." He muttered. Kiapolo wasn't scared of death, but he was upset to see his time come to an end. He'd hoped to accomplish more than this by the time he was killed.

"You're a very strong wizard, Kiapolo. I can see you have a heart too. So, I don't understand why you'd join Tesla. You could've done much better things with your power." Ashley responded.

He lowered his head, collapsing to his knees. "I have no home. My own people changed their beliefs and they cast me out because they didn't want me anymore. He gave me a place to sleep, and food, and clothes. He gave me companionship, something I never got in the ocean."

"We can give you that too, and we won't force you to hurt people you don't want to hurt. We aren't just soldiers. We're a family. I can see it in your eyes, you aren't as evil as the rest of them." She offered her hand out to him, "Please, let us give you a home. You and I could do great things together."

His eyes dwelled on her offer for a moment. She sounded so genuine. He glanced back at the creatures unconscious behind her. They fought so hard to protect her. Kiapolo couldn't help himself from thinking that his comrades would never do such an act for him. More of the shadows overhead dissipated as he grabbed her hand.

Beau left his sword stuck in Alda's body. He figured her blood was too disgusting to bother spilling more of it. From here, he could spell it. An angel's blood had never spelled so revolting to him. He was a little beaten up but it'd all heal with time. At least he took down the wench once and for all. He didn't even close her eyes for her. She deserved to see her own death.

He shuffled towards one of the side halls, where Drake had just finished off Micah. It wasn't easy to fight against his skill while keeping London and Ghost's rage at bay. They, along with Joy and Friday, fell eventually. The demon's strength and high intelligence was hard to combat. Beau leaned against the wall, observing Drake. If there was anyone who could match his mental skill, that would be it.

"You've defeated them." He said, "But tell me, did you really win?"
