Beau slid his key card through the slot in front of Croc's door. They found themselves at the very end of the hall, where it was the darkest and coldest. Kuza didn't even notice it though. He assumed the goosebumps on his skin were going from how anxious he was. Beau couldn't open that door fast enough.
"You have a visitor." He mused as he opened it.
Croc stood up, smiling ear to ear, "I know. I could feel my baby nearby."
Kuza ran into his arms, hugging him tightly. The branding on the back of his neck glowed like a fire as a result of the property it marked being returned to it's owner. To some that had been marked, that may have been painful. For Kuza, though, it was an amazing sensation. Almost as amazing as the feeling he recieved when reconnecting his lips with his love's.
"I've missed you so much, Daddy." He whispered with his arms draped over Croc's shoulders. Of course, the two feet of height difference caused him to be on his tip toes.
"I am required to lock this door. Are you alright with being locked in here?" Beau questioned.
"I don't care, as long as I'm with him." He replied.
The doctor smirked, "Alright. Do try to keep it down, though. Other patients will be trying to sleep."
"Well," Croc chuckled, "We can certainly try but it's a little hard for my baby to stay completely quiet."
Kuza laughed evilly as he closed the space between him and his owner. A flame burned along his skin to hear his mate's sexy voice again. Some may find his reptile-like hisses and growls disturbing. For his little bloodsucker, though, they were nothing but pure sex. Beau pulled the door shut to leave the love birds to their privacy.
"Now," He spoke, looking to Felix, "It's your turn. You look nervous."
"I haven't seen her in three years. I'm worried she's going to be angry with me." He replied.
Beau looked amused, "I don't know where you'd get an idea like that. You know you're the only person she can't ever get mad at. The entire time you've been gone she's spent obsessing over you."
Felix gained a cute smile, "My dad told me once that if I ever planned on settling down, I should get one that's obsessive. He said even though they're batshit crazy, you'll never have to worry about being alone. Plus, they can be entertaining."
He laughed, "I take it your mother must be that way then?"
"Yeah, if my parents get too far apart they can develop telepathy. Mom won't stop talking in dad's head until he comes home. They have one of the strongest relationships of anyone I've ever known. I want that, with Marci." He sighed, "I was scared I'd never come back and I made a mistake. A bad mistake. I started to see another woman. We're over now, but I slept with another woman, Beau."
He stopped as they'd reached the main hall. Setting his hand on the younger's shoulder, he said, "She will understand as long as you explain it to her properly. Tell her how you had no faith you'd ever return here. She would've wanted you to move on, had that ended up being the case. I suggest you keep this to yourself until things cool down, though. Now that you're here, I believe it'll help her finally get back on her feet as well. Give her time to get better."
"My uncle mentioned to me how sick she was. Is it true she doesn't speak anymore?" He fearfully asked.
"Not completely. She will speak to me, and when no one is looking, she'll talk to Friday and Yuki. Other than that, though, I'm afraid she's been extremely closed off. You were her purpose of living. I don't know why you're wasting time talking with me." Beau gestured his hand out to the door beside them, "Go see her, already."
