The crimson haired demon walked into the armory and locked the door behind him. Shae could trust the others to defend the outside. His job was to go to action if they managed their way inside. He knew there was no way that could happen.
He gently laid Yuki down on a small bed and draped a blanket over him. The little elf whimpered in his sleep and hugged his lamb stuffed animal closer to his chest. How could anyone was to hurt something so innocent? If anyone dared to touch him, if the enemy even dared to speak his name, Shae was going to kill them. Nothing in this world mattered more than his love.
"I haven't seen him in so long." Emerson commented as he walked over, "How has he been, since coming here?"
Out of curiosity, Kitty glanced over to see who they were talking about. When she saw the tiny blond haired elf, she gasped. "I thought he was dead." She softly said.
"I take it you know who he is?" Shae asked.
"Prince Yoshiko Yasahiro Murakami." She answered, "They say he was given both a female and a male name at birth because even though he was male, his beauty could rival any female in the world. I've had the pleasure of meeting him a few times at royal events, but I was told he'd died along with his family when their mansion burned down."
"No, he survived the fire. He had been under the society's protection for many years. In fact, that was what led us to wed. Jasper made a deal with the emperor that if Yuki could marry one of the society's members, he would be protected for life. It was more of a trick, though. He used me as a way of gaining control of Yuki for the ability he possesses. You see, anyone who crosses him will be cursed and soon after, will meet a painful death.
The reason the family's mansion burned down was because his father wanted to break up our marriage. He never meant to hurt them. He can't control it. Chris told Jasper it would be for the best if we let everyone believe Yuki had died in the fire as well. That way no one would come looking for him. He agreed that was for the best. Please, do not let anyone know about this. He's told me before, he doesn't want to be a prince anymore. He just wants to be my husband, and I can gladly accept that."
"Aww, that's so precious." She cooed, "Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me. My father didn't approve of who I married either. That's why I'm now the run away princess, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Love is more important than a crown."
"It's kind of funny how your parents are fine with Cecil marrying you even though your parents didn't approve, but now they're doing what your parents did to you to Felix." Remington said.
"I guess I never thought of it that way." She replied.
Shae left his baby in the back of the room to sleep. He walked over to the sitting area, speaking as he sat down, "Though by supernatural law in the dark realms, parents can forbid a marriage, the laws no longer apply to the spiritual plane. A convenient bonus of Felix's sacrifice to the society."
