Paris was actually pretty relieved when Felix and Marci walked in the kitchen. Even if he was enjoying private time with his love, he wasn't a fan of having idol hands. Any excuse to cook or bake made him pretty happy. It was also a reason to escape returning to bed. He knew he wouldn't be able to sleep, not with how nervous he was.
"You know, all the sugar you eat probably doesn't help with having nightmares." Micah commented, swirling around the liquid in his wine glass.
Marci was sitting on the counter next to him, swinging her crossed legs absentmindedly. She stopped halfway through devouring a cup of freshly made pudding and mousse to glare at him. "I'd hit you with my spoon if I didn't need it."
He held his hands up defensively, "Sorry, forget I even said anything."
All Felix could do was laugh. The fact that after all she'd been through, she could manage to stay so pure at heart was amazing. Anytime he got to see her happy and joking around, he cherished it. The door swung open, BK walking through. He's typically not supposed to be in the manor, considering his job calls for him to be outside. His presences easily set off alarms for everyone.
"There you are." He sighed out of relief, "I got worried when you weren't in your room. we have a bit of a... I don't know if I should call it a problem but I thing that happened. We found this woman outside, she's a vampire, and she was pretty beat up and pissed. We brought her inside, because she needs medical attention, but she keeps asking to see your parents. I don't even know how she knows they're here."
Felix sighed, "That's just great. Because I don't have enough shit to deal with right now. Where'd you put her?"
"An empty room in the main ward. Lock's watching her right now but I'm worried she'd going to snap any second. She looked a little... Crazy..."
"Just get back to your guard post. I'll deal with this." He set his hand on Marci's leg, reaching up to kiss her cheek, "Stay with Micah. I don't have a good feeling able this."
Reluctantly, she listened to him. Even if there were plenty of others to help him if anything bad happened, she still didn't like sending him off alone. Felix and BK left the room, one going back outside while the other headed down to Wanderlust ward. Only one door was cracked with dim light peering out of it.
As per usual at this time of night, Knox was wandering the halls absentmindedly. He'd heard the commotion coming from the lit room and let his curiosity get the best of him. Peering in through the crack, he felt his chest tighten. He knew that face, and she fucking terrified him. Even if his childhood memories of her weren't bad, he knew what she was capable of.
"What's that look for?" Felix asked him as he approached.
He managed to mutter, "Aunt Ryan-"
His older brother's eyes widened. Within a split second he opened that door, seeing Ryan-Ashley yelling at Lock endlessly. For such a brave hunter, he booked it out of that room the second Felix arrived. Something about the rage and sorrow in that vixen had him petrified. The anger managed to dissipate when she saw her nephew. She got up from the bed, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Finally," She started to cry again, "A face I know."
"Aunt Ryan, what're you doing here?" He asked.
Her response completely ignored him, "Where are your parents? Where's Ryan, and Mike?"
"They're here. I'll get them, soon, but first we should get you cleaned up. You're covered in blood. C'mon, my girlfriend probably has a dress she can lend you too."
Ryan-Ashley looked down at her hands. It was almost like in her rage, she'd forgotten about all the dry blood on her. She began to cry more now that she was remembering what happened. Felix delicately guided her across the hall to his and Marci's room. It took a few minutes of convincing her, but he finally got her to go take a shower.
