Emerson smiled widely as he reached the foyer, "It's good to see someone who I don't have to fear will throw me into a wall at any given moment."
Ricky snickered, "I take it treating mental patients has been an adjustment?"
"To say the least, yes. Although some of my new coworkers are a little worrisome as well." He replied, "You're here to stay this time, right?"
"Yeah, at least I hope. I don't want to do another move. I'm too old for this shit." He sighed as he rubbed his temple.
Ghost hung off his arm, purring, "I can make you feel young again, Babe."
"Oh, how I did not miss your lack of a filter. I suppose you'll fit in here, though." Emerson began to walk alongside them as they headed upstairs. "Do you plan on staying in the manor? Remington and I will be having a home built down on the water. There's a lovely place, about a fifteen minute walk from here. It used to be populated by mermaids and fairies. They took good care of it."
"That does sound nice." Ghost said.
"Yeah, we'll have to look around some. We did decide to build a house. I don't think it's the best idea to have Annabelle around certain creatures."
Ricky wouldn't admit to Emerson that they'd make sure their houses were far away from each other. They loved those elves like family, but they had a tendency to just show up at their house. They'd like to avoid that this time around. Plus, neighbors didn't sound good to them. They liked to keep to themselves, like most vampires.
"Welcome back to the manor, Lieutenant General." Jasper spoke, startling them. He took Ghost's hand gently and kissed his tattooed fingers. "You, as well, Madam."
"I don't hold that title anymore." Ricky responded. He was unhappy to hear it, and just as peeved to set his eyes on his oldest son.
Felix took a few steps back but Jasper grabbed him. He turned him back around as he replied, "Technically, you were never stripped of it. If you'd like to resume the position, you easily could. We'll talk about it later tonight, though. I do hope you've brought some formal wear with you. I've decided, in celebration of this whole ordeal finally being over, I'll finally reopen the ballroom."
"There's a ballroom here?" Ghost asked with a slight sparkle in his eye.
"Yes, it's been locked off for awhile. I figured we're all due a celebration after our victory." Jasper smirked, resting his ringed finger under his chin, "We also have a special guest of honor, but even saying that, I've said too much."
"You sound pretty confident about that." Felix said.
"He'll be there. I'm certain." He snapped his finger, turning on his heel. "Come. We have a lot to do before this evening." Jasper glanced over his shoulder at Ghost, "I look forward to seeing you in a nice dress."
His eyes flashed red a moment. For a split second, Ghost was brought back to the night Jasper had destroyed him in bed. He tightened his fists on his loose dress, bunching up the black fabric. Ricky cleared his throat, bringing his wife back to reality. He glanced around to make sure everyone else had walked off first.
Ricky leaned in close, whispering in his ear, "You're such a little whore. It's been so long since I've watched someone else fuck you."
"There's definitely plenty of options here. It makes me feel like a little kid in an ice cream shop. So many flavors." Ghost mused.
"You guys know I can still hear you, right?!" Felix yelled back down the hall.
His parents turned white. When Annabelle hadn't gotten her fangs yet, it was easy for them to forget the rest of their children did have vampire traits. Felix especially could always hear everything. Nothing got past him. Ricky and Ghost decided it best to just get to the privacy of their room.
