Gang leaders weakness

Chapter two

    She began her twenty minute walk to the town diner because she usually worked there after school to pay the bills and her food her father never paid for anything but his alcohol...

She arrived at the diner and was greeted by her boss rose

"Hey baby girl, you're here early"

"Yeah i didn't want to be at school"

Ava walked around the counter to grab her apron and her order book...and started taking orders. The day went by pretty fast, there was three tables left and they all had their food so ava went to the back to  take a little break and then the bell on the door rang to alert them on a customer.

"I'll get it"Ava said walking to the front

She stopped when she saw who it was Grayson michaelson.

"Pick where you would like to be seated"

He and his friends walked to the back in the corner and sat in the both, ava placed the menus and silverware down

"Hey my name is ava i'll be your server can i start you guys off with some drinks"

"What's on your jaw" Grayson snapped

"Nothing"Ava said trying to avoid eye contact

"Is that a bruise"

"No, now what do yall want to drink"

"Sweet tea" they all said

"Do you guys know what all want to eat"

"Four double cheeseburgers"

Ava wrote down their order and gave the ticket to the cook and filled up their cup. She put the cups on a platter and walked to their table. She sat the cups down trying not to look at them.

"I'll have your food ready in a few minutes"

She walked around to the other table

"Hey harry how was your food"

"It was just fine can i have a coffee togo"

"Yes sir"

She walked around the counter and grabbed the double cheeseburgers and a togo cup and poured coffee in it. She walked to grayson's table and sat their food down and left without saying anything and went to harry's table.

"Here you go, will that be all"

"Yes mama"Harry said handing ava a twenty to pay the bill

"Thank you and have a good day"

Ava walked around and cleaned the tables and picked up tips..she walked behind the counter and pull out her phone and saw she had a message from her dad

Where the hell is my food, you better get your ass home now-10 minutes ago

"Shit, roes i have to go home right now can you take my table"

"Okay baby doll call me if you need anything and sure thing"

Ava grabbed her stuff and gave rose a hug before rushing out of the diner, her walk that usually took her twenty minutes only took her ten minutes...she prepared herself for what was about to happen.  She opened up the door and the smell of alcohol hit her.

"Finally your open, do i have to do everything myself"her dad screamed

"No sir i'm sorry i just had to work"

"So is work more important then me your own father"

"I'm the only one that works i pay the bills and feed us" Ava snapped before she thought

"Really bitch you're going to wish you hadnt said that" He said getting closer

It one swift motion he grabbed her wrist and punched her straight in the face...ava fell and she thanked god because she didn't hear anything crack.

"Get up and make me food before i break every bone in that little pathetic body of yours"

Ava struggled to get up her vision was very blurry she got up and went to the kitchen and made her dad two grilled cheese and left them on the table for him and ran up the stairs and shut and locked her door...she went to the mirror to see how bad the bruise would be. The already purple bruise covered her left cheek and jaw she felt the tears filling her eyes but she held them in and went to her dresser and grabbed and sweater  and leggings and underwear and walked to the bathroom and shut and locked that door too.

She turned on the hot water in the shower and began taking off her clothes and looked in the mirror just to see bruises and old scars.  She lowered her head and got into the shower.  She loved the hot water, she always had the hottest what the burning felt good to her it's the only thing that made her feel clean.

After her long and hot shower she put on her clothes and brushed her hair and her teeth and walked out off the bathroom and got in the bed and covered herself and drifted off to sleep...
