Chapter sixteen

Grayson's Pov
I woke up to being poked in the face. "Grayson...Grayson. You awake". "I am now" I said rubbing my eyes and stretching. "Good because it's 1 in the afternoon and I'm bored". "Let's just lay down for a few more minutes" "Ten minutes and then we have to get up" We cuddled and I ended up falling and Ava doesn't know how to wake someone up nicely because this time she was on the bed jumping. "Grayson it's 1:30." "I'm up okay I need shower" "Yes,yes you do" "Be quite" I said.

When I got up Ava jumped on me and gave me a kiss. "Good Morning baby" she said. "Good morning" I said putting her down on the bed. "I'll be back". I have her a quick kiss and walked to the bathroom. I got undressed and turned on the water and got into the shower.

When I got done I brushed my teeth and walked out of the bathroom door. I didn't see Ava so I figured she was down stairs. I went to my dresser and grabbed a pair of boxers and the I went to the closet and grabbed a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt. I put on my clothes and walked down stairs.

I saw Ava at the stove cooking what looked like pancakes from my view. She had one of my shirts on it covered her butt and it almost went down to her knees. I came up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. She flinched and turned around. "You smell nice" she said wrapping her tiny hands around my neck. She stood on her tippy toes. "No fair get shorter Grayson" "I can't do that" I smile.

She turned back around and flipped the pancakes and then grabbed a plate and put the pancakes on the plate. "Breakfast and lunch"she smile and placed the plate in my hand. We walked over to the table and sat down,"how many do you want?" I asked. "None". "Babe you need to eat" "I'm good, I've already ate." "Oh okay if you want some please tell me. "Hey Grayson I'm going to go on a run". "Let me finish and I'll go with you" "it's fine I'll go by myself" "No" "Yes" "No listen you can track my phone or something, I'm a big girl". "You're hot people are going to look at you". "I'll wear sweatpants and a t-shirt".

"Fine you got thirty minutes" "Thank you baby" she said giving me a kiss and then walking up the stairs"

AVAS POV

It took a while to make Grayson say yes. I just wanted to go outside and enjoy the fresh air by myself. I walked into the room and walked to my dresser I grabbed a pair of grey sweatpants and a black shirt with the sides cut out. I changed my clothes and then I put on my sneakers and grabbed my phone and headphones.

I walked downstairs and kiss Grayson bye "Thirty minutes Ava" "Okay Mr.Michaelson". I said before I went outside. I put my headphones in ears and put the end in my phone and turned on my music app, then I placed my phone into my pocket and started running.

I ran past the store I used to go to when I lived with Greg. I realized I was close to my old house, it didn't take me long to ran past it. I stopped right in front on it. The door swung open and out came a sober looking Greg at this time I took out my earbuds. "Ava?...Ava I'm sorry" He said as we made eye contact. I turned the other way and ran as I could.

I made in to the house and ran upstairs not acknowledging Grayson. I ran to the bathroom ripped off my clothes and stood in the mirror looking at the scars Greg gave me. I heard a knock "Baby I'm coming in". I didn't move a muscle. I could feel his eyes on me "What happened" "I saw Greg, he was sober, he said he was sorry". He grabbed a towel and wrapped it around me and walked me to the bed. "Lay down baby". I got into bed and Grayson took the towel and covered me. "Grayson?" "Yes Ava" " lay down with me" "Okay" he walked over the other side of the bed and laid down on top of the covers. He wrapped his arms around me and I felt save to knew Grayson wouldn't let anything happen to me.

I didn't mean to fall asleep but I did, when I woke up it was still light outside and Grayson wasn't there I saw one of his shirts laying on the floor so I picked it up and put it on. I heard a knock. "Ava" I heard Grayson say. "Yes". "Okay your awake, turn away from the door" "Why" "Because I have a surprise for you" "Yay,okay I'm not looking". The door swung open "you can look now". I turned and saw a beautiful husky. "Grayson are we keeping it" "Yes we are, and it's boy and he's five" "Aww he's still a baby" I said in a baby voice "Whats his name". "You name him" "Hmm" I played with the dog and started thinking of names. I looked and then dog and said "We shall call you Finn". Then dog started licking my face. "I guess he likes the name". I stood up and wiped the slobber off of my face. I walked of to Grayson and gave him a hug. "Thank you so much Grayson" "You're welcome baby, I have a dog bed and some toys for him" "The bed stays in here" Grayson chuckled "Okay".

Grayson walked out of the room and came back carrying a large dog bed a bag full of toys and bag of dog food and two bowl. "Geez dude you could've asked for help, or you could take two trips". "I don't take two trips" he chuckled again. He sat the stuff on the floor and I started to go through it he had about five toys and Grayson got some dog shampoo.

Grayson walked over to the bathroom and filled up a bowl with water and sat it next to my bedside table  and then opened the dog food poured some it the other bowl. "I'm going to give him a bath" I said "Okay if you need it his collar and the leash is in the toy bag.

Grayson grabbed the dog food bag and took it down stairs. "Come on Finn let's give you a bath." I walked to the bathroom and Finn followed me. I turned on the hot water and the cold water. I made sure it wouldn't burn him. "Okay Finn get it" I said point at the tub. He just looked at me and then looked at the tub.

I tried to pick him up but he wouldn't budge. He just kept looking at me. I figured he wanted my to get it first. "Finn get in". Nope he didn't move at all. "Darn you Finn" I stood and then got in the tub and sat down. "Come here Finn" I said pointing next to me. And guess what he did...he jumped in. "You're a goofy little man aren't you". I took the spray nozzle and sprayed Finn. I took the dog shampoo and lathered him up making sure he was clean.

"Ava why are you in the tub" Grayson said walking into the bathroom. "Okay he wouldn't get in, he kept looking at me and then the tub so I took it as he wanted me in there first".

He took out his phone a took a picture of my and Finn. I finished washing Finn and drain the water out. "Baby can you get some towels" "Yeah". He laid towels all around the bathroom. I got out first and held out a towel for Finn. "Come here buddy". Finn jumped out and walked out to where Grayson was standing and shook. I busted out laughing. "Good boy"

"Don't encourage his behavior". I walked over to Finn and wrapped a towel around him and started drying him off. I took off my wet shirt and threw it in the dirty clothes basket. I picked up all the towels and did the same. I grabbed a clean towel and wrapped it around me and took of my wet bra and panties.

As soon as Finn go into the room he rolled on the carpeted floor. I walked over to my dresser and put on a sports bra and underwear. I grabbed a pair of sleep pants and a sweatshirt.

"Thirty minutes after Finn eats we have to take him out" "Okay" I said sitting next to Finn scratching his back. "Babe, are we doing anything this weekend" I asked Grayson. " I don't think  so what do you want to do". "Lets re model the room" "Okay let do it".

We got on the bed and turned on Netflix and started watch gremlins. Finn jumped on the bed and got right between me and Grayson. I looked at Grayson and started laughing.

About twenty minutes into the movie Finn got up and jumped of the bed and went to the door and looked at us. "I'll take him out" I said getting out of bed. "I'll go with you" Grayson said getting up. I grabbed his collar and leash. We all walked down stairs and then we walked out of the back door.

We walked around for about ten minutes before Finn used natures bathroom. We walked inside and I went to the kitchen and made some popcorn. I walked upstairs and Grayson and Finn were laying next to each other and laughed and laid next to Finn.
