Chapter 27

I held harpers hand and we walked up stairs. I grabbed one of Grayson's shirts for her to wear. I walked her to a bedroom, then to the  small bathroom attached and turned on the water for her and left a towel for her.

"Just yell if you need anything okay darling"

"Okay."

Grayson put clean sheets on one of the beds for Harper. I grabbed one of his shirts and laid in out for her. I didn't really have clothes small enough to fit her.

I went back to my room, and changed my clothes. I picked out a pair of loose shorts and a tank top.

"What are we going to do with her Ava?She has a family." Grayson asked wrapping his arms around my waist.

"We take care of her, you seen the way she looks. I'm gonna take care of her. She reminds me of me, so I'm not going to abandon her."

He turned me around and kissed me. His kisses always made me remember that he still cares. There's just something about him. I've never met anyone like him before.

"And I never expected you to my love. I will call a friend of mine, he's a doctor and he can give her a little checkup to make sure she's okay."

"Thank you Grayson. I don't know what I would do without you.

It was about 9 when Harper got out. Grayson had already changed and got into bed. I heard a faint knock, and I got out of bed and saw that little Harper had been taken over but Grayson's huge shirt. She looked adorable.

I walked outside of the room and shut the door. She still had that little bunny clutched to her body.

"Here I'll show you your room, we can fix it how ever you want it."

"Like toys?" She said so innocently. I didn't know what this poor baby had been through. I wanted to make sure she didn't end up like me.

" Yes, and anything else you want.".

We walked into the room a door down from us. The room had a full size bed, a dresser, a closet and just a few more things. It also had a on suite so that would make anybody happy.

We walked over to the bed, I picked her up and sat her on the bed and tucked her in.

Grayson and I left and walked to our room. He laid on the bed and I walked over to my dresser and grabbed some clean clothes and went over the the bathroom.

I took off my clothes and turned on the water, I could still see some scars, but they didn't bother me as much as they used to. Every once in a while I would have flashbacks. My dad abused me mentally and physically,but there was still a part in my heart that loved him.

Flashing images flooded my head when my eyes closed, as the hot water washed over me.
My hands fell on my belly, I felt my eyes start to water.

"I need to know"

I got out of the shower and put on my clothes. I reached up the sink and grabbed the small pink box that I was terrified of. I locked the bathroom door and opened up the box.

I took off my pants and sat on the toilet, I just kept looking at the small stick.

"Fuck it" I whispered

I don't know if I'm relieved of not. I don't know what I wanted it to say.

I put the all the "evidence" in the trash can, and walked back into the bedroom, and got into bed with Grayson.

"Hey babygirl" he said kissing my forehead

I snuggled up to him and let all my problems disappear for a few minutes. Grayson was the best thing that's ever happened to me. He has helped me so much, I owe him my life.

His fingertips traced my bare skin causing chill bumps to appear on my arms.

I bit my lip, and moved closer to him. I placed my hand on his chest and softly scratched him.

"Come here." He said pulling me on top of him

"Woah, mister what do you think you're doing" I placed my hands back on his chest to hold myself up.

He wrapped his arms around my waist bring my hips closer to his.

"What do you think you're doing"

"You're about to find out" he smiled and pulled me even closer.
