Chapter nineteen

Ava's pov

Grayson and I went to sleep after we got home. I could feel the sun shining in threw the closed curtains. The room looked so bright and so pretty. I turned and looked at Grayson and he was sound asleep. I got up quietly and walked over to my dresser. I grabbed some sweatpants and a tank top. After I grabbed my clothes I walked to the bathroom to get a shower and change.

After my shower I put my clothes on then I brushed my teeth. I tried to untangle my hair with my fingers.

I walked back to the bed room and laid back down softly. I looked at Grayson laying down I placed my arm over his head and started playing with his hair.

I thought to myself "How did I get so lucky?". Grayson shifted his body and now he was facing me. I kissed his forehead.

I walked down stairs and started making breakfast. It's been just Grayson and I for a few days now. It's been pretty peaceful, and by peaceful I mean nobody trying to shoot up the house. I won't forget that day.

FLASHBACK

"DADDY STOP PLEASE IT WONT HAPPEN AGAIN I SWEAR" I screamed covering my face. I feared for my life I knew I wouldn't make it.

"I know it won't happen again because if it does you see this gun and these bullets(he said pointing toward the gun on the table) one of those little bullets is going to go through your little head, you ungrateful bitch"

I curled up into a little ball, and cried he slapped my head and left me.

I flipped another pancake on to the glass plate. I sat the plate on to the table and then walked up the stairs to wake up Grayson.

I sat on the bed next to Grayson, and played with his hair. Wondering how did I get so lucky?

Grayson turned his head s slightly and open up his eyes and smiled at me he said "good morning beautiful" I smiled back "good morning handsome, get up and meet me down stairs I made pancakes.

Later that day

Grayson and I went grocery shopping after eating. We also went to the dog park to let Finn  run around and play with other dogs.

We had been laying the couch for a few hours watch TV.

"Grayson?"
"Yes Ava?"
"I want to go to school again."
He looked at as if I hurt his feelings. "Why would you want to go back there?". "Well i miss Elizabeth, and I need to learn Grayson i'm so behind."

"I'll get you a tutor, and they'll homeschool you." he said fidgeting around like he could stay still.

"It's not the same Grayson, i'm a Junior in high school. I would like to go to prom and do normal high school things. I said holding his hands.

"If that's what you want Ava ."
"Yes that's want I want."

"Well okay then we'll get you sighed up again, and we'll have to go to the store again to get you some supplies"

I got up and straddled his waist "Thank you Grayson".

"You're welcome sweetheart"
