Chapter 24

"No one loves you, your own mother left you. It should have been you" Those words hit me like a semi truck. They cut me deep, today is my 13th birthday. My father said those hurtful things and then left me to drink again. He grabbed his car keys and left.

I started crying "Momma I miss you so much, please help me, because I can't do this without you." I cried for what felt like hours. I packed myself a little bag and went for a walk.

A few hours later
I'd been walking for a while, I was somewhere in the woods. I'm pretty sure I was lost, but I really don't care. I heard footsteps and voices.

A few men where standing and talking near me. The smell of beer hit me. They all turned and looked at me, and started walking towards me. I stared taking steps back.

"Don't walk away from us babygirl"

"I-I have to go, my dads waiting for me"

"He can wait" One said he got so close to me his hot breath made me gag. I need to get away from them. One of them got behind me.

"Please I have to leave"

"Don't leave us we're just getting started"

I kick the one in front of me in the man parts and ran as fast as i could. I didn't look back I was to scared I didn't stop running until I reached a road.

Ava's POV

I woke up shaking and hot. I put my hands over my face and breathed slowly trying to calm myself down. I looked around and I didn't see Grayson so I got up and walked over to my closet and grabbed a light pink sun dress and walked to the bathroom.

After my shower I brushed my teeth and put my hair into a mess bun. I walked to the bed and laid back down for a few minutes. Finn had just woke up and crawled over to me. 

I saw he had a small note attached to his harness.

"It time for my walk mommy" I giggled and got out of bed. I took out my hair tie and tried to detangle my hair. I put on a pair of flip flops and grabbed his leach.

I walked down the stairs and then went out the back door.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" Everyone said

I saw Grayson, Elizabeth,Erik, Jake and Kayden. I smiled no ones ever did anything like this for me before. My eyes started to water. Grayson came over to me and hugged me. "Happy Birthday babygirl" I kissed him.
"Thank you so much"

Elizabeth came over to me "Happy Birthday love" "Thank you Izzy, I love you".

My cheeks hurt from smiling so much. No one had never did anything like this for me.

"I'll be right back, I have to go the bedroom" I said letting go of Finns leash.

"Thank you guys so much for this it means so much." I went over to Izzy and have her a hug.

"I'm coming with you" Grayson said grabbing my hand and kissing my cheek.

He picked me up and carried me all the way to the bedroom. "Ava?".

"Yes?"

"Why did I learn from Elizabeth that it was your birthday."

"Well I didn't think you needed or wanted to know. I don't even know your birthday."

"Well yes I needed and wanted to know."

He put his hand on my cheek, his finger tips traced up and down my face. He ran his fingers through my hair and grabbed a hand full of hair and started kissing me. Before I knew what was happening he was on top of me.

He looked down at me and moved my hair from my face, "as much as I would love to tear that dress off of you we need to go back down stairs."

"Ha funny you can't do that me" I wrapped my legs around him "You're not going anywhere mister"

"Says who?"

"Me" I said with confidence

I started feeling like i was going to get sick,so i unwrapped my legs,and jumped out the bed. I ran to the bathroom slammed then door shut, and locked it.

"Ava let me in"

I was on my knees trying to hold it back. Then the door slammed open.

Grayson sat down beside me and held my hair. I started gagging and nothing would come up it hurt so bad.

He started rubbing my back "What wrong Ava"

"I don't-" Then I threw up mid sentence. Lovely

He grabbed my a small towel and ran some hot water in the sink. He put the towel under the water, letting it soak up the steaming water.

He walked over to me and and sat down he pulled me toward me and wiped my face off.

"Grayson"

"Yes baby"

" What if im pregnant"

"Then we'll take care of her or him. We will give them everything"

Tears started rolling down my face. "I'm scared, what if they don't like me, what if i'm a bad mom."

He wiped the tears from my face. "You'll be a great mother, I promise you that"

I grabbed him hand and used his shoulder as a brace as I stood up. I grabbed a toothbrush and toothpaste and brushed my teeth to get that horrible taste out of my mouth.

We walked downstairs and then went out the back door. Everyone was in the pool splashing and having fun. While we were up stairs I figured I would put my bikini on.

"Come on Ava the waters amazing" Kayden said

"Don't lie to her,it's freezing but it gets better"

I took off my dress and walked over to the pool. I grabbed Grayson's hand and walking into the pool. The cold water washed over my feet causing me to shiver. I let go of Grayson's and dove into the water. I resurfaced, and moved my hair your of my face.

"Okay so not gonna lie, that was cold as hell" I said

"Thank you guys for everything this was amazing" I said walking over to Elizabeth and Kayden. Kayden and Elizabeth had been dating for a few months, he makes her so happy. She deserves to be happy.

I hugged Izzy and Kayden and then everyone else came to us and we all group hugged. It was like something you see in a movie.

Everyone was out of the pool and was dying off so we could go inside and eat. Grayson and I started back while everyone went inside and got everything set up.

"I love you Ava Taylor"

I love you Grayson Michelson"
