Romance Detective 4: American Soldier

Chapter 1: Chrys's return

Rose's Pov

'Holy shit...' Is all I thought through my mind. Chrys walked up to us with her bag. She wore the marine uniform, she was taller then me now, she had scars on her body and she got more muscle since she left. The one thing I noticed more was the patch over her left eye.

Ivy ran past me and hugged Chrys. Chrys laughed and lifted Ivy up with ease, "Hey Ivy, glad to see you too." The other went and greeted her. After a minute they moved aside and Chrys looked at me. "Hey detective..." she said to me. Tears slipped down my face. I ran over and jumped in Chrys's arms. She hugged me as I cried into her chest.

Heather's Pov

I smiled at the two. "Come on, let's go to the cafe and you can tell us about your adventures." I said to them. They agreed and we went to the cafe. Rose leaned against Chrys and Chrys put her arm around Rose. As we waited for our orders Chrys told us about her days in the war.

Chrys's Pov 2 years ago.

My plane landed in the base camp I was to be at for the rest of my time there. Once I got out I was set to a tent where they gave me my uniform and gear. They told me where everything is then sent me off. I went to the tent I was assigned to stay in and set my stuff down.

"You must be the new girl" said a voice. I turned around and say a girl around my age. She had curly brown hair and blue eyes, she had a scar over her right eye. "Yeah...I'm Chrys, Chrys Stargazer." I said holding out my hand to her. She shook me hand, "Jasmine, Jasmine Rouge. Though your name sounds familiar to me"

My eyes flickered to my blue rosed eyes. She stepped back for a sec then forward again. "Woah, how did you do that?" She asked me. "It's a long story..." I said to her.

After months of training with Jasmine. I was sent to go help the army, Jasmine was sent to the navy. I met a couple more allies in the army and we got along fine.

Present day Chrys's Pov

"What happened to your eye?" Asked leandre to me. I sighed, "I lost my eye, and I'm not joking" They stared wide eyed. "How did that happen?" Asked Ivy to me. "It was a year ago..." I started to say.

One year ago on the battle field

Jasmine and I reunited in the army. We went out to help our comrade in fighting. The sad thing was, it was in a small town. Most people evacuated but very few didn't. Some were dead, a couple were still alive.

Jasmine ran off in one direction to fight. I went in another and into a house. I was in charge of the evacuation squad. I broke down the door there was a family of four. "Come with me. I'm here to get you out of here" I said to them. They nodded and went with me.

We ran out they got ahead of me and to the rest of the squad. "Stargazer!" Shouted my comrade. He pointed to my far left. I looked and saw a little girl running through the firing range. I ran into the gun range towards the girl.

I scooped up the girl in my left arm then shot our enemy with my right hand gun. I started to run back. There was a gun shot and I lost the sight in my left eye and I tumbled down to the ground. Everything went black.

Once I woke up I was at camp's medic area. The doctor told me I had lost my left eye and suffered a chest wound. But it wasn't too bad. I adapted to having only half my sight.

Present day Rose's Pov

"You saved someone's life. Costing your eye" said Heather to her. Chrys nodded with a sigh. "Your back and that's all that matters..." I said to Chrys. Chrys smiled at me, "yeah"

We chatted some more till it was time to go. We went our separate ways home. I drove to Aster's home to drop her off. Once we drop Aster off we went home.

When we got home Chrys goes out of her uniform, changed and into bed. I changed and layed next to her. "Goodnight Chrys..." I whispered. "Goodnight Detective..." she whispered back. I soon fell asleep in Chrys's arms.
