Chapter 8: Rescue

Ivy's Pov

I over heard Ruth talking about mom having a week to find us. She only has two days left to find us and I'm starting to get worried. I looked over at everyone. We're put in cells Aster and myself in one. Leandre and Chief in another and Rose in the third 

Rose was in the worst condition. Rose had bad gashes on her arms, legs, her stomach was badly injured, Ruth had took a knife and cut Rose's hair right to her shoulders, a gash was over her eye just like mom's but not gone.

Chief got cuts and bruises but her right forearm was completely gone. Leandre had a long gash down her arm, and leg, there was a blood spot on her chest to her stomach area meaning a gash was there.

Aster and myself got gashes and bruises. Aster's arm is broken and her ankle is broken too. I'm sure a few of my ribs are broken. We suddenly heard the door open upstairs and looked over. A figure stood at the top. It wasn't Ruth but someone else.

The stairs creaked as the figure walked down. Soon the light angel changed and there was mom. But with a demon wing and angel wing. "Mom..." I said to her. She attention went to me. Her eye is soulless and red. She went over to the cell aster and I are in. "Ivy, aster..." she said to me.

She picked the lock on the cell and opened it. She walked over to me. I slowly stood up. Mom picked up aster, Aster still sleeping. I hold my arms out, "I'll carry her...I can do it..." Mom nodded and set aster in my arms. I grunted a bit in pain but I held aster still.

Mom went over to the next cell and got Leandre and chief out. Next was Rose, Mom went over and unlocked her cell.

Chrys's Pov

I was so angry about what Ruth did to them. I'm sure there's a lot more then what I see. I started unlocking the cell. "C-Chrys...?" She said weakly. I finished up unlocking the cell and looked at Rose. "It's me Detective...." I said to her. I went over to her. She collapsed in my arms, completely exhausted.

I lifted her up and got up. "Will you all make it to the station? That's where my car is..." I asked them. They nodded at me. "Alright let's go" I said. They went up the stairs first then I followed them. We got to the upper floor when shadows came around in front of us.

My eyes narrowed as the shadows formed into Ruth. "I found your hideout Ruth. A deal is a deal." I said to her. Leandre took Rose from me as I stepped forward in front of them. "Go guys now." I said to them. They ran past Ruth and out the door. She glared a shot her shadows at me.

She trapped me in a prison of Shadows. I growled and struggled to get out. "I will not except this Mudblood. Your powers are mine" Ruth said to me. "These powers don't belong to you. They belong to ME!" I shouted, my voice changing and sounding different. (Once again Like Rainbine's from Inverted Shadow's Elements of insanity). 

I broke out of the shadows my wings stayed spread. Ruth stepped back in shock. Before I could do anything ruth uses her shadows the hide. I growled but shook my hand leaving the building. I got the scent of blood once again and followed it. It lead me to the others. They had got to the station which was close by to the lair.

I saw how exhausted they are and unlocked my car. "Lets go quick" I said. They nodded and got in. Leandre set Rose in the passager side. I got in and drove off to the Hospital.
