Chapter 5: Using her weakness

Rose's Pov 2 days later

Leandre was doing better from the incident. However, Chrys hasn't been getting enough sleep. It's starting to worry me. She goes out and doesn't come back till very late at night and still doesn't sleep for another hour or so.

Chrys was very determined to find whoever did this to Leandre. Heather wanted to find whoever did this to her as well. But she has to take care of Leandre for a while. I heard the door open and looked over. Chrys walked in very tired.

"Chrys" I said to her. She looked at me, her eye was darkened still. It made me really nervous. She walked over to me and lays down on the couch. She rested her head on my lap with a huff. I combed my hand through her hair lightly.

"Please get some sleep Chrys..." I said to her. "Not till I find who did this to our friend...." came her reply. I sighed, "Chrys, please. I hate seeing you like this...It worries me..." She sat up and faced me, her face close to mine. I could definitely see the tiredness on her face.

 She mumbled something but I couldn't hear. Before I could asked what she said Chrys lays down on on the couch beside me falling asleep. I comb my hand through her hair. "Sleep well Chrys..." I said getting up and going outside. I wondered to the park and walked around. Chrys was right when she said the park was calming. 

I continued walking through the park. I got to where the door is and looked at it. it was close to breaking. 'I need to inform Chrys...' I thought to myself. I went to leave when I felt someone one grab me and cover my mouth with something. I struggled to get away but soon started to feel dizzy and weak. I then blacked out.

The last thing I hear is, "One down, four to go"

Leandre's Pov:

I was in the living room of Heather's house reading a book. I was trying to remembers who shot me. All I remember is a muffled voice, a gunshot then pain. I sighed in frustration setting my book down. I then stood and went to the kitchen.

I spotted Heather in the kitchen. "Hey Heather" I said, she looked at me and smiled a bit. "Hey Leandre, How are you feeling?" She asked me. "Better just sore" I said to her. "Glad your doing better." She said to me. I walked over and hugged her. 

"How cute too bad you'll be separated" said a voice. Before we could respond, I was yanked from Chief and everything went black.

Heather's Pov:

Leandre dissappeared from my grasp faster than I could blink. "Leandre!" I shouted. "Your next chief" said a voice behind me. I felt pain on my head and I collapsed. Everything faded from my vision.

"Three down, two to go"

Aster's Pov:

I was laying in bed studying while ivy was showering. I sighed and closed my book deciding it was enough studying for today. I put the book away in my bag. I heard footsteps behind me. "Ivy is that you?" I asked Turing around. I come face to face with red eyes.

"Try again child" she said to me. "R-Ruth" I stuttered in fear. I knew ruth from what Detective told me. Ivy knew about ruth as well. Ruth smirked and grabbed me by my neck. Lifting me in the air. "Now be a good child and do as I-" she was cut off by ivy tackling her to the ground. I hit the ground my arm hitting the desk near my bag.

I cried out feeling the pain surge through my arm. I looked over and saw ruth trapping ivy in some sort of Shadow ropes. "Stupid child," said ruth then looked at me. A smirk formed on her face as she grabbed me again.

I yelped as she gripped my injured arm. "Now off we go." She said to us. Everything faded to black.

Chrys's Pov an hour later

'Wake up Chrys! Your friends, daughter and fiancé are in danger!!!' Screamed Crystal in my head. I shot awake and got up quickly. 'What do you mean?! What's going on?!' I said back to her. 'It's ruth. She kidnapped them while you were sleeping.' Crystal said to me.

I growled and stood up. 'That bitch won't get away with this' I said to crystal. I knew she agreed with me. I stood and headed out the door.

'I may not know where they are. But that won't stop me from searching.'
