Chapter 10: Aiding the broken

Chrys's Pov 4am

The doctor woke me up the next morning. "What?" I asked him. I hate when I'm woken up too early. "Ms. Ivy is awake. She's in a panic," he said to me. I stood up careful not to wake rose, "Where is she?" The doctor led me down the hall to Ivy's room. I could hear her calling Aster's name. I knew what to do when we arrived at her room.

I walked in and went to the bed she's in. "Ivy, it's okay aster is safe in the next room over" I said to her. I brushed my hand through her hair lightly. She calmed down a bit then looked at me, "I want to see her..." I looked at the doctor. "Is there anyway to transfer aster to this room?" I asked him. "Yes mame. But she needs to be awake first." He said to me. I looked at ivy, "she's still asleep Ivy. You'll get to see her soon"

"You should sleep ivy. I'll wake you up when the doctor brings aster in." I said to Ivy. She nods and falls back to sleep. I sighed a bit and looked at the doctor. "Is leandre or Heather awake yet?" I asked him. He nods and guides me to the room they shared. He let me in the room. "Romance cop..." came Heather's voice. I spotted her to the far right of the room. She was sitting up. Her right arm now having a prosthetic arm.

"Hey Heather...how are you feeling?" I asked her. "To be honest, sore....but I'm glad to be out of that hell hole...how's rose doing?" She asked me. "She was close to having a panic attack..." I said to her. I told her what happened yesterday. "I'm not surprised by the way you acted" she said to me. I chuckled slightly, "yeah. Is leandre awake?" "Yeah I'm up chrys...I'm over here..." said leandre.

I looked over and saw her on the hospital bed next to Heather's. She had bandages around her stomach, chest, leg, and arm. "Hey Leandre" I said to her. "Before you ask, I'm feeling worse then before...but I'm glad to be here.....and not there...." she said to me. I nodded with a little smile. "Glad you guys are okay....I was so worried I wouldn't find you...." I said to them. "Well you found us. We're all safe and that's all that matters..." said leandre to me.

"C-Chrys?!" Came Rose's voice. "Oh shoot." I said turning and running out back to Rose's room. She was shaking looking around the room. She was looking for me. "Rose, it's okay I'm right here" I said to her. I walked over to her so she can see me. She relaxed on she saw me. "I was checking on everyone else. Aster is still asleep so I couldn't see her yet." I said to rose. "How are....the others...?" She asked me. I told her about the others for a little bit.

The doctor walked in, "Ms. Stargazer, Ms. Aster is awake." I looked at Rose, "I'll be back my rose....I promised ivy I'd wake her when they transfer aster to her room." She nods, "Okay Chrys...be back soon okay...?" "I will rose" I said to her. I turned and followed the doctor. He led me to Aster's hospital room. He stopped me before the door. "Ms. Stargazer there's something I have to tell you" He said to me.

"What is it?" I asked him. He looked at me, "Ms. Aster is in a fragile state. Meaning she could break down or have a panic attack. So please be careful with her" I nodded, "I will don't worry" He opened the door and let me in. I walked in and spotted aster on the bed. She was clutching a piece of Ivy's jacket fabric.

I walked over to her, she looked up and spotted me. "Hey aster" I said to her in a gentle tone. "Hi Chrys...is Ivy awake?" She asked me. "No but I'll wake her up when they transfer you to her room. She was panicked when she didn't see you when she woke up" I said to her.

She let out a small whimper and clutched the fabric to her chest. "Don't worry, you'll get to see her soon" I said to her. She looked at me with hopeful expression. The doctor walked in, "Okay Ms. Aster, we'll be transferring you to Ms. Ivy's room now." He said to her.

He then looked at me, "can you assist me by carrying her there?" I nodded and he disconnected the wires from aster. Once that was done I lifted her up gently. She clung to me as we started walking. Once I reached Ivy's room a nurse opened the door for me. I thanked her and walked inside.

Ivy was awake when I entered. She looked at me and saw aster. Her eyes lit up when she saw aster. "A-Aster!" She Exclaimed sitting up. I walked over to Ivy and kneeled down so aster and Ivy were facing eachother. Aster reached over and hugged Ivy. Ivy hugged back.

Once they let go I set aster on the hospital bed next to Ivy and moved it over so they could hold hands at least. The doctor came in and reconnected the wires on aster. She was scared of the wires but Ivy held her hand telling her 'it's okay' and 'I'm right here'. I smiled a bit, remembering Rose did that for me when Ruth took me away. Ruth tortured me and raped me. I was glad she didn't do that to them.

Speaking of Rose, I said goodbye to Aster and Ivy then headed back to Rose's room. She spots me and tries to sit up but fails to. "Don't do that Rose...you'll hurt yourself" I said to her. I sat on a chair by the bed. Rose held her arms out like a child. I chuckled and hugged her gently. She pulled me towards her.

Unlike aster and Leandre, Rose didn't have the wires in. Only the heart monitor and that's it. I switch sides of the bed and layed down beside her. She turned on her side carefully and cuddled close to me. I held her close to me. The doctor walked in when rose fell asleep. He was a different doctor m. "Ms. Stargazer, please get off the bed. I do not suggest to sleep next to her like this" He said to me.

I didn't budge and said, "Rose wanted me next to her. I'm not moving." He glared at me, I glared back. He forward his hand landing on Rose's side where her injury is. Rose shot awake panicked, her eyes foggy still, "n-no more!! Please s-stop!!" I was alerted and held her close, smacking the doctor's hand away. The main doctor and a nurse rushed in.

"Shhh, Rose...it's okay your not there anymore...it's okay..." I said to her in a soothing tone. She calmed down and fell asleep once again. I glared at the second doctor. Then I looked at the main doctor. I explained what happened and he sent the other doctor home with a pink slip, meaning he's fired. I was glad I won't be seeing him again. I kissed the top of Rose's head.

"I'm sorry about him...you won't be seeing him Again" the doctor said to me. "Don't apologize for something you didn't do" I said to him. He nods, "understood. Now they will be able to leave Tommorrow but I suggest keeping them together at your home to monitor them" "got it sir" I said to him. He handed me a few papers for everyone's conditions, medication and the times they should take thier medication.

He then said goodbye and left the room. I set the papers down and turned to hug Rose. My angel wing going over her with ease. "I won't let anyone hurt you anymore...My rose..." I said to her in a whisper. I see her smile in her sleep. It made me smile as I fell asleep as well.
