Chapter 6: Insanity's Prisoners

Aster's Pov:

I wake up my arm numb from the pain.  I tried to move my arms but I couldn't. I soon found out I was chained to the wall. I tried to see if I could slip my hands through the cuffs but I felt pain in my arm and stopped moving it.

I looked around at my surroundings. It was a dungeon like area with cells and a two doors leading somewhere. I see a staircase ahead of my leading to a third door. Something caught my eye, a familiar blue bandana. It was Ivy, she was tied up in a chair back facing me.

I look back at the cells and saw Chief and Leandre in separate cells. Rose was a bit further away from us. She was on her knees arms behind her back. A Chain linked to the wall kept her from escaping. A black gag was over her mouth. I looked at Ivy once more.

"Ivy..." I said, my throat was dry and it burned when I talked. Ivy looked back and saw me awake. "Aster..." she said back. Before I could say anything, the door upstairs opened. I saw ivy and the others tense up. I looked at the stairwell and saw ruth walking down.

The light admitting from the upstairs allowed me to get a better look at everyone. My eyes widen when I saw cuts and bruises on them. "Well looks who's finally awake." Said ruth as she gripped my hair harshly. I hold in any sound of pain that want to come out. "Now it's your turn" she said to me.

I felt the cuffs loosen on my wrists. But ruth put my arms behind my back and cuffed them together. Once she finished she started dragging me away. I saw Ivy look at me with fear. The pain in my arm started coming back again. I gritted my teeth in pain.

I was brought in a room full of different weapons and torture devices. I was thrown to the ground right on my injured arm. I cried out in pain unable to hold it in anymore. Ruth laughed, "I haven't even begun and your crying out in pain. You'll be more entertaining to torture than the others."

She walked towards me and I closed my eyes. Ready for the pain to come.

Chrys's Pov A week later

My anger started building up more and more as I continued searching for Rose and the others. Ruth made a terrible decision taking them away from me. 'Chrys, please calm down....I know your angry but-' I cut her off, 'Shut up crystal!! I don't want to hear it!'

That shut Crystal up quick. She stopped talking to me for a while as I entered the park and to the door. Seeing it almost fully cracked and damaged. I growled, "just great! Now the seal is almost broken! And I have no time to fight the dark lord!"

I swung a punched a tree that was near me causing a dent in it. I sensed a dark presence and growled, "show yourself! I know your here!" Shadows moved around and formed into a figure; Ruth. I growled in anger, "Where are they ruth!"

"My hidden lair. I'm here to offer you something" She said to me. "What is it." I said, my eye darken and rosed. I saw the fear in her eyes. "Your powers for them" she said to me. I growled, "I'm sorry but I can't give you my powers. You'll have to kill me to get them"

Her eyes narrowed at me. I stepped forward, "Give me a week to find your lair ruth. If times up you kill me and get my powers. I will I get them back. Simple as that" I said to her. She growls, "fine a week." I stuck my hand out to her. She brought hers forward but I moved mine back. "Shake, only if you mean it" I said to her.

She shook my hand when I brought it out again. She then dissappeared with a few words said, "My lair is hidden by only something ordinary but not alike."

'Something ordinary not alike. Well Ruth, I'll see you soon'
