Chapter 4: Friend down!

Rose's Pov, next day 8am:

Heather and I were at the Cafe chatting about different things. Chrys and I had told Leandre and Heather about our engagement. They were happy for us. Chrys had went off to do something for Heather. Leander was on her way over.

Though something didn't feel right. Something was very wrong. "Rose, are you okay?" Asked Heather to me. "Something doesn't feel right..." I said. Once I finished that sentence a gunshot is heard. Heather and I shot up and out the cafe to see what happened. Not far from us was Leandre.

However, she was laying in the street a small pool of blood around her. "Leandre!" Cried Heather running to her. I called an ambulance then Chrys.

Ring....Ring....

'Please pick up!!' I thought to myself.

Ring....Ri-

[Call start]

C: Hey detective, sorry I'm taking so long....I'll be there so-

R: *upset* Chrys...

C: What's wrong Detective? Did something happen?

R: Someone shot leandre...

C: what?! Is she okay?

R: I don't know Chrys....

[Call paused]

The ambulance pulled up and took leandre away. I told Heather I'll meet her at the hospital with Chrys. Heather nodded and hopped in the ambulance with Leandre. Soon the ambulance drove off.

[Call cont.]

R: where should I meet you Chrys?

C: I'm by the station. Head there.

R: okay I'm on my way.

[Call end]

I ran to the station where Chrys was waiting in her car for me. I got in and we drove off to the Hospital. Once we got there we spotted Heather sitting in one of the chairs. A look of fear is written on her face and eyes.

We sat beside her. I put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "She'll be okay..." I said to her. Heather looks at me and nods. Chrys stood and started to walk out. "Chrys where are you going?" I asked her. She turned and looked at us. Her eye blue rosed and darkened.

If you ask me it was truly scary. "I'm going to find who did this and make them pay" said Chrys darkly. Without another word she turned and left. "God dam she's more scary then before" said Heather. I looked at her and nodded, "yeah"

A nurse came out and allowed one of us to go in fornow. Heather looked at me. "Go see your girlfriend Heather I'll wait out here" I said to her. She nodded, stood up and followed the nurse to where leandre is.

Chief's Pov

I followed the nurse to the room leandre is in. Once we arrived she let me in. I stepped inside in room. Leandre layed on the medical bed sleeping. I walked over and sat in a chair by the bed. I held Leandre's hand.

'Please be okay...'
