Drakes pov
The door was unlocked when I woke up. I guess they unlocked it to check on me. I just realized I had fallen asleep. I looked at the time. It was the next day. What ever. I walked into the hallway and into the living room to find everyone in there including syrith. Armen had this weird look on his face. I knew the look. He is bad a keeping secrets.
"So Drake you wanna go to the palace with us. We are leaving soon. I kinda wanna show you something too." Grayson said breaking the silence. Yep they were definitely up to something. But what.
'Ya think. You sure do make a great detective' his voice made me jump.
Ignoring it I nodded. I wasn't in a very social mood
------------------
We had left and made our way to the palace. The place was huge now that I could really look at it without being afraid of getting killed by someone.
Grayson did know his way around this place. He lead us down to the library to a set of doors in the back. The doors were made out a darker purpleish stone with different engravings on it. A sign that read magi hung next to it.
"Magi? As in Mage? Grayson what is there place?" iTools a step back from the doors. I wasn't sure if I was excited or scared.
"Just wait." He put his hand on a marking in the wall and the door opened. Behind the doors it was dark until torches along the wall began to light. It revealed a room with some tables in the center and a lot of books and artifacts. This time I felt some excitement appear in me. I looked to him and he smiled.
"I remembered this was here and I thought that maybe it would be fun" he smiled.
Once in the room you could see that it other connecting rooms. Once looked like a training room. Others looked like living quarters. I got even more excited.Grayson's POV
I was glad to see Drake happy about something for once. It had been a while. He was running around like a little kid in a candy store. Armen even seemed to have fun with some of items in here because some didn't even require magic to use it. There was a shelf of wired looking stones and they messed around with some of them. What caught my attention was when one of them made Armen float about a foot off the ground. Me and Mia had flipped through some books but they were all in a different language for the spells. Some were in English but the spells they contained weren't.
"Hey Drake?" I called out. He looked over at me from a book he was reading.
"Yea?" He got up and walked over.
"What language is this? Can you read it?" I asked.
"Uh yea it's a spell book. Fire magic actually. It's in a language the mages used. I learnt it when I started studying magic. Uh....your looking at a speed on how to make a fire ball. It's instructions." He stated and smiled.
"Oh cool." I smiled back placing the book down.
"Hey guys does anyone know why there was a secret room back there and it just had one book in it?" Mia was walking out one of the corridors with a purple book with gold brims in her hand.
"Uh I don't know." I admitted. When I worked here no one but mages were allowed back here. I knew that they had their secrets. Secrets that were lost with the destruction of the magic library.
Drake had looked at the book and she have it to him. He looked at the titled printed in the front and looked at her.
"Where did you find this." His time grew more serious.
"In a back room. Why?"
"Just wondering." He wasn't telling us something. I couldn't read the title because it was not in English.
He flipped through some pages before stopping on one. Before I could look at it he suddenly jerked back and dropped am the book.
"Ow would you quit it! Leave me alone." He mumbled under his breath along with some words I couldn't make out. He held his hand looking at it. I noticed how his fingers were stiff and curled kinda funny like someone had taxed his arm. It took a second but he finally relaxed his hand.
"What was that?" I picked the book up cautiously and peered down at the page he stopped at. I set it aside for a moment.
"Nothing." He turned away.
"Drake I know your lying." Armen snapped from behind him. "I saw what happened. Who were you talking to."
"Fine. I looked at that one page because it had actually looked familiar. That book is about demon magic. Or black magic in some cases. It's a dangerous book and the one spell I stopped on was removing an evil entity from its vessel. Or part of it. Armen it was the same spell I used on you a while back. Herobrine must of recognized it too and messed with my hand to drop the book. By the way owww. You jerk." He had looked over at the book for a second and then back at his hand.
"Wait it was? Can't we sure it then. Maybe get rid of him and kill him from there?" Mia had interrupted me as I was gonna say something. She better not tell what we were gonna attempt. If herobrine was active right now then that meant he could probably hear what we are saying.
"In a sense maybe but it requires another mate to do it. I can't do it on myself even if I tried."
"Oh."
We had gone silent for a moment. If Armen had the ability still to do magic then maybe we could have him do it. That was the original idea.
"Do you wanna keep looking or are you ready to go?" I asked.
"As cool as this place is I'm ready to go maybe we'll come back another time." He looked at me wih concern in his eyes. I nodded and we left. Mia had slipped the book in her bag before we left without anyone noticing. The good part was that part of the boom was English. Like the instructions and some preparations for the spell.
'Drake I'm sorry for what's gonna happen soon but it's necessary. It is the only way I can think of without killing you. I know the spell may be dangerous to both us and you but it's the best option. I sorry I hope you won't hate me.' I thought to myself before I shut the door behind us and went home.
---------------
I grabbed Mia and Armen when I asked if Drake wanted to be the one who took syrith outside for a little while for fresh air. He agreed and left. I knew we had about an hour to discuss our plans.
"So we go back to that magi place because one f the rooms seemed like it would be a good place to do it. I know about some of the rooms they have in there and a few things about the magi wing of the palace. They actually used to do experiments with souls and spirits all the time in this one back room. They would also use a spell that would temporarily suspended the spirit in a form of an apparition. Me and Armen will go back there later and use the enchanting table to get some of the required enchants and some items from the place to do it." I started to come up with the plan and we all were assigned different jobs to do in the mean time before we do it and hopefully end this once and for all.
Herobrine watch out. We are coming for you and we are going to stop you for good. Drake I'm sorry about this but it's what needs to be done.
No body can save us now. It's so or die. (Line from a really cool song. It's battle cry by imagine dragons.)
