Grayson's POV
We got into the empire. That was the easier part. Now getting into the palace and the ancient library inside of the palace, that's the hard part. Avoiding getting caught and most likely killed, even harder. Especially for Armen. His face would most likely be recognized easily because he attacked several empire cities over the years.

After walking up and down many endless streets we had managed to get a few blocks away. Guards lined the entrance to the palace. Some of them even had wolves with them. I remember doing training with the wolves. They were trained to attack on command and boy did they hurt. They could rip you to shreds in seconds. Their sharp teeth designed for ripping flesh. Ouch. That would ruin your day.
"What do we do now?" Armen tugged at my sleeve pulling me away from the street and into an alley.
"Not sure. But it's getting dark so we can't stay out here much longer." I looked around for any form of shelter.

We had made it through the night with out any trouble. I know that the king has shipments go in out out of the gates to the palace daily. Maybe we can sneak onto one and hitch a ride in. I divided a plan with Armen and waited. The shipments come soon. We have to be quiet and sneak on before they leave.
"Get ready to run." I grabbed his hand and sprinted full speed towards the cargo wagons. We made it on with very little sound surprisingly. This almost seemed to easy. I got a unsettling feeling for a second. I stared straight up as I peaked out of the wagon. The palace was looming over us. It costed a showdown around the area and gave an almost eerie feeling. The wagons stopped, this was our cue. I grabbed Armen again and hoped off before they could spot us.
"Hey you! Stop right there!" A man shout d behind us. Oh no. "Armen run!"
"Grayson hold on!" I heard a voice to my left. Drake? Mia? What were they doing here?
"What are you guys doing here?" I stopped as we had ran straight into a corner. Crap.
"Well trying to you out of here. I knew it was a horrible idea!" Mia said angerly. "We are cornered. Great job."
"We got them!" The man motioned for other guards to come. I saw drake death stare one of them.
"Guys?" Armen had crawled brought a hole in the wall behind us.
We followed behind him. And once we reached the other side we sprinted into the winding streaks of he town hoping to lose them. We did.
"I think we lost them about five streets down. Can we please stop?" Mia panted, out of breath.
"Fine." We stopped and ducked into an alley way. "Great what do we do now? And how did you guys get in here?" I looked to them for an explanation.
"We didn't think it was a good idea and tried to get to you before the gates shut but we didn't make it so we waited for the next group of people and made it into the city looking for you. So here we are. We need to leave. The palace to too guarded for you to get in." Mia explained.
"Oh." I didn't know what to say. She was right. Well the plan was worth a try. Now we had to get through the city without being caught. Great.
