Ch.16- Mysteries

Note: hey guys I made this chapter longer to make up for the lack of updates lately. Sorry I have been busy so I haven't had time.

Mia's POV

I felt a slight pain in my leg as I moved it. I opened my eyes. It was dark out. I was in a sleeping bag? There was a fire that was dim and almost burnt out. I sat up and saw drake sleeping and Grayson had a log in his hand. He walked back over to the fire and placed it in. He noticed me and smiled.

"Thank god your ok. We were worried about you." He sat down next to me. "Does it still hurt?"

"Yea a little" I nodded. "How long was I out for?"

"A week. Do you see why we were worried!?" He lowered his voice to not wake up drake. He looked so peaceful sleeping, especially since what he has gone through the the past couple weeks.

"A week? Wow. Where are we?"

"The middle of the woods. We had to keep moving. Mercenaries are searching for us. We are all now wanted. I think they want drake dead more than me now. We found posters and the reward for finding him was higher. I feel like this is my fault. I was the one who walked into the village without having you guys check it out first to make sure it was safe. I'm so sorry Mia."

"Don't apologize. It's ok. None of us thought about it either. We all should have been careful. It's ok Grayson we will get through this." I looked at my leg. It was starting to hurt. Grayson gave me a potion and changed the bandages on it. I blushed as he held my hand when he put something on it to clean the semi healed wound. It stung as I tried to keep from screaming. I'm surprised that Drake didn't wake up as he was right next to us as we did all this. The pain went away finally. Grayson had made sure I got comfortable. I laid back down to try and get more sleep but sleep never came so we stayed up and talked. I eventually fell back asleep.

Morning had come and I heard the boys doing something before I opened my eyes. I turned my head and looked at them. Grayson had a map and they both seemed not sure where to go. The sky was cloudy and looked as if it was going to rain. 'Great. Rain is what we need' I got up and walked over to them. "Oh your awake! Grayson told me you woke up last night. Your leg ok?" Drake asked. "Yea it is sore but I'll survive" I smiled and looked at the map as they explained where we were going.

We started walking around noon and by then the sky bit even darker. Drake kept looking up. He was dreading the thought of it raining. I felt bad. You think about. Rain is harmless but drake looks terrified of it. Same as for water. I don't always like the rain either but still.

Grayson's POV

The sky was dark and cloudy and the air was cool and foggy. We had been walking for about two hours and we found nothing. The map showed something that was around here but there was nothing to be seen. Just some trees and the occasional sheep.

"Grayson...." Mia's voice came from behind me. She looked o ear to drake who had a blank stare and he was looking at me. He turned his head and started walking in the other direction. "Drake?" He didn't answer. It was strange. His white eye wasn't glowing so what was it. I followed slowly behind him and he stopped. There was some sort of arch way in front of us. He stumbled to the side and tripped. "Hey you ok?" Mia was at his side. "Uh yea. Just dizzy." He looked up confused. "Why did you take us here?" I looked at the arch and saw symbols and designs carved into the structure. Drake got up confused and walked next to me. "What do you mean I didn't do anything." Something was off. Drakes hand then started glowing purple as the carvings lit up and something opened up in the ground. We all backed up and looked at drake who looked even more confused then us. "I didn't do that." He blurted out. "You did something." Mia pearled down the stairs that opened up. great the tunnel was collapsed. Disappointed we all started walking again still not sure of what just happened.

Time skip.

"We have been walking forever can we please stop!" Mia started whining again.
"She has a point" drake chummed in.
"Fine." I wasn't going to win 2 against 1.

We all sat down for a minute. A sudden loud crack of thunder echoes throug the sky and it started to rain. Drake instantly jumped as the water came pouring down heavily out if no where. He teleported under a near by tree. I couldn't help but laugh. Mia did too. We were already soaked and joined him under the tree. He glared at us as both me and Mia were laughing. "It's not funny! You try be half enderman." He crossed his arms and tried getting so elf the water out of his shirt since the rain had gotten to him before he could make it to the tree. "I'm sorry but your face before you teleported. You looked so scared!" Mia tried to hold back the laughs. We both tried.

Drakes POV

They both were laughing. I didn't find it funny. It was raining heavily and I wasn't going out in it. After a while water does hurt when it touched my skin. It's mainly starts off as a annoying feeling but gradually gets painful. I glared at the to of them and then slid to the ground sitting against the tree. 'Stupid rain' 'what's wrong someone don't like the rain?' I jumped at the sound of the voice. A slight paint appeared in the left side of my head. I tried to shake it off. I could hear a quiet laughter in the back of my head. I felt sick to my stomach and looked at Mia and Grayson and tried to shake the terrible feeling. It's going to be a long day. The rain will have to stop eventually.

Time skip

The rain had stopped and we started walking again. The pain was gone and everything was silent.my thoughts kept wandering to earlier and the arch way. Apparently it had somehow put me in some sort of trance and lured me over the the arch way where it opened up stairs to a collapsed tunnel. Something about it didn't feel right. I shock the thought and looked up ahead as Grayson started talking. I don't hear any of it but I saw a small clearing with a farm on it. Some other houses and building could be seen in the distance. Grayson looked back to us concerned. The town had flags up. Imperial flags. The empire was here.
