Chapter 9

George mind linked Mike and told him that he finally knew the truth about Rosie. They began to plan on what to do next. George suggested going to the gym the next day on his own to become stronger. He dialled Thomas' number and asked if he would train him. He agreed and they would be at the gym the next day to train.

'Pal. Don't go for Rosie yet. I'll tell you when to confront her.' He told Mike to meet him upstairs in two hours so they could plan their next move.

When a couple of hours passed, Mike walked into George's room and they discussed on what to do about Rosie. "I can't confront her. Not yet." "So you're waiting for the right time?" "Hunter said to wait until he said so." Mike nodded. "Let's go downstairs."

When they were downstairs, George talked to Hunter in his mind. 'George. Don't let anyone push you around about Rosie. Just ignore her. Text her and say you're sick or something.' He told Hunter he would and went to his room. He grabbed his phone and texted, 'please don't come. I'm sick. I don't want you risking yourself getting sick. I'll let you know when I'm better.' She quickly texted back, 'I'm coming to see you.' He got into bed and faked to be poorly, but he actually began to come down with a fever.

By the time Rosie arrived at Jonathan's an hour later, she knocked on the door and was shortly greeted by Jonathan. "Hi Rosie. Please come in." She entered the house. "Thanks. Is George here?" "He's upstairs. He's got a really high temperature." "Can I just pop in to see him?" "Sure."

George sensed her as she ascended up the stairs. She opened his door and saw him in bed with his eyes closed. "George?" "What?" he asked groggily. "How are you?" "I'm fine. Just a little fever." She walked towards the bed and pressed the back of her hand against his forehead. "You're really burning up. Let me get you some water." He weakly thanked her as she left and shortly returned with a glass of water and a wet flannel with Jonathan and Claire.

"Hi cousin. How are you feeling?" Claire asked curiously, yet worryingly. "I'll be fine once this fever goes." "I don't know. You're really burning up." "I'll be fine Rosie. I promise." She then decided to stay with him for a little while to keep him company.

"You'll be fine George," Rosie told him once he was asleep. Claire gave her a disturbing stare as she worried for her cousin. "Come on George. We need you," Claire gently told him. He pulled the cover off of him and got comfortable. She stood up and pulled the cover back over him and sat next to him on the bed. "You really love him don't you Claire?" "He's my cousin. Of course I love him. I always will." "Has he found his mate yet?" "No. pretty much all of us are waiting to find ours. Why?" "Just wondering. You'll feel the sparks one day."

Just as Rosie said that, Jonathan walked into the room and said he wanted a word with Claire. She nodded and followed him to his room. "Claire, please don't listen to her. Mike and I believe you. As well as your aunt, uncle and dad. I'm pretty sure your mum believes you too." "She believes me." "Why wouldn't she. A couple of us weren't sure if you were telling the truth or not, but everyone else was positive and behind your back. Everyone has got your back." She thanked him as she suddenly heard her cousin yell.

"Get out! I never want to see you again!" They rushed across the corridor and saw George continuously yelling for Rosie to leave. Jonathan kindly asked Rosie to leave and he'd call her later once George had calmed down. He then walked back to see George with his legs up as his arms were wrapped around them. "I hate her." "We know." Mike then walked towards the bed and comforted him. "Everything will be alright. You know what she's like now. Stay away from her." He nodded as he grabbed his mobile phone and texted her.
