Chapter 13

"What!?" they all exclaimed. His father grabbed his arm and took him into the kitchen for a private chat. "You have to tell her it's over." "Why should I?" "Sleep." "No dad. Plea..." he then collapsed in his father's arms. "I'm sorry I did that. I had no choice. You're breaking up with her." He then carried his son up the stairs and in to bed.

Once he was gently placed onto the bed, George began to get comfortable as he was asleep. "I really am sorry about what I did, but I did it out of love. I don't want to see you hurt because of her. I'll be downstairs if you need me." He walked down the stairs and saw that Rosie was still with everyone. "How is he?" Rosie asked him curiously. "He's fine. I think you should go. We can help look after him." "I understand. Tell him I love him when he wakes up please." "I will," he lied as he made sure that she left.

"She's taking this too far. We're losing him to her." "Jack-" "please don't Jane. I'd like to be alone for a while." He left the house and everyone was worried about him. "I'm going to my son." "Wait until the wolves arrive. They've got some explaining to do. Until then, I'll stay with him," Mike told her as Jonathan told him that he would talk to the wolves while he was looking after their friend as well as protecting him.

When Mike was with his friend, he sat on the chair by the bed. "Hi pal. I've come to keep you company for a little while." He tried to sense him, but couldn't. It was as if his mind was shut off. He suddenly moaned and his face screwed as if he was in pain. So, Mike gently shook him and he then saw his friend wake up. "Mike?" "Hey. Feeling better?" "Yeah. She's messing with my head. I can't keep Hunter under control because of her." "You'll beat her pal. I know you will."

He smiled weakly at his friend and protector as he tried to get out of bed. "Just stay here a few more minutes. Take your time coming round. I really am sorry he made you sleep, but he had no choice." "I know. I understand he did it out of love." He hugged his friend and told him to go downstairs once he was ready.

After a couple of minutes, George was out of bed and downstairs to find everyone but Rosie there. His uncle told him that she was taken out of the house and she left the property. "Where's my dad?" he suddenly asked the moment he didn't see his father with everyone. "He's gone out. He was worried about you, so he said he'd go for some air and to have some space." "I feel really bad about this. She's really pushing her luck with me and my family and friends now. I'm ending the relationship. Indefinitely." Mike patted his back as well as Jonathan as his mother and Claire hugged him.

George's father returned to the house a couple of hours later to find Jonathan yelling at pack members for letting George down by not being with him when they were needed. "Dad?" "Son?" He ran towards his son and hugged him tightly as he was awake after what he did in order to help his only son. "I did what I thought would be for the best and I did it out of love, because I love you so much son." "Mike told me the same thing."

Once they released each other, they sat on the sofa and Bethany hugged him while their mother placed her hand on her son's knee. "The members of the pack have promised to never leave you out of their sights again. It's new to them with them being in our little pack instead of your uncle. They'll get used to it. But it's only because your uncle and I are identical." "At least I know which one you are." "I'm glad."

Jonathan went into the kitchen to get some drinks and saw that the fridge was almost empty. So he told everyone he had to go to the shop to get some food and would return soon.

When Jonathan left, everyone waited patiently in the living room and watched something on the medical channel. "So, I take some blood and-" George quickly whipped his head away from the screen as he was squeamish. "I don't know if I'm going to be sick or if I'm going to pass out." "We're all here no matter how you're feeling," his sister told him. He thanked her as he then hugged her, shortly released her and asked his father where he went. "Just to the woods. I just needed time to myself after what I did to you."
