Chapter 10

After a few hours of training, everyone went back to Jonathan's to freshen up and relax before planning their next move.

"You'll have to teach me that move sometime Jonathan," Claire told Jonathan, just as they were outside of his house. "I will, but I'll go easy first. It's a hard move to master. You need to work out more. Why don't you go to the gym and work with Thomas? He'll help you improve with your moves." "I'll speak to him later."

After a couple of hours, George decided to go to the gym with Claire and Mike decided to go with them to help train George with his moves.

"Hello Mike. Are you here to train? I can get a trainer for you." "No thanks Thomas. I'm going to train George if that's alright." "That's fine. As long as I see him train, it's fine." He nodded as they all went to the training room of the gym and began to train.

"Alright George. Block." He then blocked Mike's punches and kicks. He tried to push Mike away, but he suddenly stopped in his tracks. "George?" his protector asked as he was out of breath. He saw his eyes turn black. "Hunter, what is it?" He guided George to a bench and sat him down as Hunter spoke through him. "He's training well. But danger is drawing closer." "Can you see who it is?" "No. It's someone that's new. I don't know her." "Thanks Hunter."

Thomas looked to George and his friend as he wasn't watching what Claire was doing as she knocked him down. "Thomas?" "I'm fine Claire." He watched George and his friend carefully and he suddenly saw George lean forward as Mike caught him as his wolf gave him control again.

Once George came round, Thomas handed him a bottle of water. "Here you go. You looked like you blacked out." "It was my wolf. He warned me about something." "Claire, you did really well with Thomas." "Thanks Mike. How are you cousin?" she asked once she squatted down as he drank some water. He took the bottle away from his mouth and told her he was fine as she stood up and sat on the bench next to him and comforted him.

"Maybe we should take you home," Mike suggested. George didn't argue as he nodded. "Come back as soon as you're ready George." Mike, George and Claire then went back to George's house and saw Jonathan there with George's parents.

"Jonathan told your dad and he told me. How are you?" "I'm fine mum. I just need to sit down and relax." They nodded as they let him inside of the house as he went to the living room and sat on the sofa.

"I'll make up for all of this. To all of you. I've caused enough damage since my genes kicked in." "You don't have to sweetheart. You're struggling." "Your mum's right son." "It's not fair on any of you. I promise to make everything up to you all." Everyone decided not to argue with him and let him do what he wanted. He was the future alpha when his father decided to let him take over the pack. "So you do what you think is right and just wait until you find your mate. I'll then decide when to give you the role of the alpha." He bowed to his father and agreed as his parents just sat with him.

After a few minutes, George had spaced out and was in his own world. He couldn't even hear his parents talking. "At least he's relaxing. He's in his own world." "Let him Jane. If that's how he can relax, let him." He rubbed his hand up and down her arm to assure her that everything was fine and their son would get through the tough situation he was in at that moment.

He eventually returned to reality and saw his parents by his side. Then there was a sudden knock on the door. Mike answered it and George heard what was being said. "I thought that Jack and Jane would be here. Are they in?" "Of course." "I'm from the orphanage." "Please come in." The woman entered the house and walked into the living room with a little girl. "Is Bethany here as well?" "She is. She's upstairs." "I know it's been a while since you adopted her, but I'm afraid we gave you the wrong child." "What?" George questioned. "Your mum and dad said they wanted a little girl, but I'm afraid they weren't specific."
