"I just can't do this anymore, y/n."

The words flashed through your mind. Where did I go wrong? Why was I not enough?

You were walking through Gotham, in the middle of the night. Yeah you knew it was dangerous and you could possibly get yourself killed but you didn't care.

"It's because of that other girl, Barbara, isn't it!" You yelled at him, trying not to cry.

Tears were streaming down your face, and you shook your head. You were so dazed, you just kept walking even when you walked into a brick wall. He was your best friend.

"No, how many times do I have to tell you, its not!" He shouted back at you but this was no time for you to cower down.

It wasn't a brick wall.

"I know you're lying, Dick. We've been best-fucking-friends since kindergarten, what do I not know about you!"

"I could name a few things!" He shouted.

"My my, what do we have here?" The voice chuckled. He placed a rag over your mouth, but you didn't fight it. You let it happen, you let yourself black out. The pain didn't hurt much like your broken heart.

"So it is about her, isn't it?" You said, collecting yourself. You only wanted to know. He shook his head, agitated but then the door bell rang. You placed your fingers on your lucky locket necklace that he gave you, or so you called it as you rushed to the door, opening it and gasping lightly.

"I knew it." You shook your head as you stared at a shocked Barbara. Your hand planted to the doorknob to keep you standing. Barbara was his ex but clearly they still had feelings for each other.

"I.." you breathed out, your heart racing, but in a bad way.

You woke up with a headache, looking around and your eyes puffy.
"Hello there, sweetie." Joker said, pouncing in joy. But you still didn't care.

"We've been hearing about how you're the greatest and most honorable person in Gotham, next to Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, that is." You cringed and couldnt help but let out a sob. Which turned into a tear. Which turned into you full on crying.

"Uh-uh Harley! Harley, pooh! She's, uh - crying, make it stop!" He complained, but you just couldn't stop.

"I.." you breathed out, your heart racing, but in a bad way. You should've known.

"I was the rebound?" Dick's face fell and he tried to reach for you but you yanked away from him. You felt pathetic.

"No-"

"Don't you lie to me, Richard Grayson!" You shot back.
"I was your best friend. I loved you, I.. I gave you my everything!" You yelled at him and Barbara got in a fighting stance, but Dick heeled her.

"Were you picturing her, everytime you played your little games with me?"
He couldn't look you in the eyes, and you almost fell.

"Okay. I guess its not in my place to say that I still love you, and I probably always will." You remember saying yo him. You fished for something out of your bag.

"I guess you can have this back." You tossed his Robin mask to the ground. His eyes widened. You always knew his dirty little secret. You walked away.

"Oh puddin', she's not crying because of us. Somebody broke her heart." Harley's voice filled with pity.

Then something in you snapped. Every object that wasn't bolted to the floor lifted, and you shouted in rage as the tears continuously streamed. You gripped the heart locket necklace he gave you, and it flipped open when you ripped it off and threw it to the ground.

You felt betrayed.

By the time the dynamic duo and batgirl came, you were much beyond saving.

You fell into the pit you tried to avoid. All because you let one man into your life.

And he destroyed you.

"What the hell did you do to her." Nightwing punched joker in the face, but he laughed.

"All we did was take her. She broke on her own."

"Why!"

"Dick.." Barbara whispered.

"No!" He yelled at her, and raised his fist to Joker again.

"A boy!" Harley shouted. Nightwing turned to her.

"It was a boy. She just cried and cried and cried and then her eyes were red and everything started lifting. Honest!" Nightwing looked to the ground and saw an open heart locket of him placing a kiss on your cheek.

Nightwing lowered his fist and fell on his knees. This was all his fault.

Joker laughed and began to speak.
"You see, everyone has a weak point, Robby. Once their weak point is used against or turned apon oneself, you break. Everyone falls, even the greatest, Nightwing.
We all Fall down."
