Title: Romeo and Juliet

Y/n - Your Name
Note - I got this idea from an instagram post that originated from a tumblr post so really the origin of this whole thing doesn't credit to me but the details of it kinda does? Idk.

If you read to the very end i'll explain the hiatus and why I suck :D

"Alright guys, let's get right into it. Page 362, Romeo and Juliet."

You could hear half of the group groan while the other awe at the mention of it.

"Now we all know this play, and what we're going to do is a little different than what we've done before. I know that many of you have harsh opinions on the story, so what we're going to do is separate the group into two separate ones."

"How do you feel about the story Romeo and Juliet?" The teacher ask, watching the hands raise.

He picks on an absolutely smittened girl who sighs. "It's a beautiful tragedy about love conquering hatred. Such a heart touching story-"

"Bull! They were thirteen years old! They were stupid in their youth and horny as hell, and as a result, death." Another stands, protesting against her take on the story.

"Oh, so we do have two different types of people when it comes to Romeo and Juliet." The teacher grins, which causes you to cringe.

"We'll be separating the class. If you think Romeo and Juliet is love and romance, stand on the right, if you feel like it's stupidity and lust, go to the left."

You go over to the left side when you pass Tim, who shrugs at you while walking over to the right side. You gasp, your hand dramatically slapped over your heart as he smirks.

"Tim, really?" You ask your best friend, whom you have never know had felt this way about Romeo and Juliet.

"My heart melts every time I read that story." He taunts, and you shrivel in disgust.

The groups begin arguing back and forth, but you sit with Tim on the side. "Dude, you think Romeo and Juliet is romantic?"

"Yeah, and?" He shrugs, "You think it's about unstable hormonal tendencies and ignorance."

"I mean mine seems more reasonable. They're what, 13, 14? Romeo was all for Rosaline, but the moment he looked at Juliet he suddenly likes her instead."

"I mean it's not like Romeo and Rosaline were together or dating, so he has a right to like whomever he wants. Admittedly it was like a love at first sight kind of thing, they did get to know each other a bit more, but they are in love. You can't say that a young teenager is not capable of loving, y/n."

"Did they not get married literally the same day they met?" You state flatly, elbows on the table as you rest you chin on your fist to await his reaction.

"Don't say it."

"...."

"Don't-"

Mustering the best Elsa impersonation you could, you quote, "You can't marry a man you just met."

"Their love ended the violent feud of the two families."

"No, their death brought an end to the violent feud."

"Why do you think they died?"

"Romeo killed Paris then himself. She wakes up and finds him dead and then kills herself."

"They died for each other. Romeo didn't want to be without her, so he killed himself. She didn't want to be without him, so she killed herself."

"So, it's saying that if your significant other dies, then kill yourself if you don't want to handle it."
