Chapter 1 – Isha's Life

Anniesha's POV

"I wanna be like wonderwoman someday!" I happily told my mom after she had read me a DC comics book.

Her beautiful smile showed up as she kissed my hand. "Why do you want to be like her?"

"Because I want to be as strong as her! Rawr!" I even stood up to show her my little muscles.

She chuckled and pulled me into a hug. "You can be strong in so many ways, Isha. You don't need super powers."

"Really? But I can't even move that chair! It's too heavy!"

That made my dad laughed. He is standing at my bedroom door, watching me and my mom.

"You have to grow old first," He said.

"Oh. Okay. I'll wait then." I ran towards him and he instantly knelt down. Dad wrapped his arms around my little body as I kiss his cheek. "Are you also strong, daddy? Like superman?"

He was about to open his mouth when everything suddenly vanished. I looked around in fear.

"Mom? Dad? Where are you?!"

All I can see was darkness.

What happened?

"HELLO?" I shouted, my voice echoing loudly. I wandered around but they were really gone. I couldn't find them. "Why'd you leave me?"

I immediately jolted up and felt tears flowing down my eyes. "Stupid nightmare."

I'm the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Acosta, mga kilalang lawyers dito sa town namin, ang Cythella. 4 years old pa lang ako ng maaksidente sila. It was a terrible car accident that shocked everyone.

Working student pa ako ngayon which makes my life really hard than most teenagers out there.

And she keeps on insisting that my parents left me some money, which I can only get when I turned 18 years old. Hindi ko lang alam kung totoo 'yon.

"HOY! GISING!" I heard Ate Margo shouted.

I stretched and looked at her flaming eyes.

"IKAW BA NAGLABA NITONG PUTING T-SHIRT KO?"
