Chapter 27

Harry was definitely not kidding about being the biggest pack in the country.

The training grounds are huge, at least a kilometer wide and long. Wolfs fighting against each other to strengthen up. The shifting is in my opinion the coolest part of it. They basically just run towards each other as human beings and jump in the air and then shift into a wolf. Every wolf is unique in it's own way, none are completely the same.

But as soon as they shifted, everything is just a huge blur from then on. Their speed is just inhuman and you just get dizzy from watching it.

Apart from the training grounds, there is also a special school for these wolfs. Everyone goes to it until they reach the age of eighteen. Then basically the males keep guard of the territory, kind of become a soldier or a tracker. The females on the other hand can help out in the kitchen, be a nurse or doctor or even teach at the school. No one is forced to do anyhing, but most wolfs gladly do it for their own pack. Everyone is like a big family and treated equally.

Homes are also scattered everywhere. It's not really a house but more like a huge cottage. This whole place gives off an atmosphere of being home, it just looks like a gigantic normal village, except it has werewolfs.

"So since both of you are werewolfs, there is one thing which I really want to see." I say in curiosity after we seen everything of the pack.

Both guys look at me, waiting for me to continue. "Can I see your wolfs?" I ask them, I'm so curious as to how their wolf forms look like.

"Do you really want to?" Harry asks me and I nod. All of a sudden he then bends down, his back facing me with his arms stretched. Questioningly I look at him. "Come on, get on, I will show it to you some place else." he says and waits for me to get on his back.

He can't be serious, I am so not going on his back, I can walk by myself. Besides I think I'm a bit too heavy for that. Noticing that I'm still standing still, Harry sighs. "Just get on already, if you're wondering whether you're too heavy, don't. We werewolf have much more strength and pain tolerance than humans." he answers my unspoken thought.

Well, he asked for it so don't blame me for whatever will happen.

When I wrap my arms around his neck, he grabs my legs and stand up with great ease. It's as if I'm not on his back at all. Being so close to him, sparks erupt all around my body and I grit my teeth.

"Told you." he says and I just nod in response. Looking around I don't see Nina or Liam anywhere in sight. "They already went." Harry answers my thought again. Is that also something werewolfs can do? Read each other's minds?

"Can mates read each other's minds as well?" I ask him curiously, if he can then why can't I? "No but your facial expression says it all to me." I just nod again.

"So where will we be going then?"

"You'll see, just don't let go of me."

And just seconds after he said that, he dashes forward with incredible speed. Everything I see is just a blur since we're going so deadly fast. After a few seconds I just close my eyes because it's starting to make me feel a bit dizzy.

The soothing beating of Harry's heart sounds just like a steady melody. Probably a bit on the fast side though.

I didn't know we are already there until Harry softly nudges me. "We're here." He says and goes down for me to get off.

Getting off, I see Liam and Nina talking with each other. I then take a look at my surroundings. It's just a round place of grass in the middle of the forest. You can't really see anything else except for the big tree trunks which go very high up in the air.

"Alright just stand over there. Liam and I will stand behind those trees, strip and then shift. Otherwise we will ruin the clothes when we shift and have to go back completely naked." Harry speaks out and glances briefly at me before he and Liam go behind one of the trees.

Me and Nina both blush at that statement and awkwardly cough a bit.

Then cracking of bones could be heard which almost gives me a heart attack and frightens me to the core. Worriedly I look around but see nothing yet. Is that normal when they shift?!

Looking over at Nina, I could see that she can faint on the spot at any moment. Lightly I squeeze her arm and bring her out of her frightened trance.

Two large figures appear from the trees where Harry and Liam shifted. From the tree where Liam went is a big chocolate brown wolf. It's fur shines brightly in the glistening sun, almost making it look like real chocolate. It completely matches with his eye colour.

Turning my head over to Harry's wolf, I'm left in complete shock. Right there is that wolf. The one which I encountered before. It's even bigger than Liam's. The jade green eyes back then also made me think of Harry. Looks like I wasn't wrong.

It's fur is pitch black like the night sky with surprisingly some white strands here and there. That's something I didn't notice back then.

Another thought right then crosses my mind. Was he following me back then? I will confront him about that later on, I don't like stalkers.

While I was checking him out, I didn't notice at all that he was coming closer to me. And right now he's standing only a little bit away from me.

Slowly I look up to meet his eyes which are already looking at me intensly. Why do I always get lost in his eyes?

Now I'm really curious, I wonder if he will let me. Steadily and slowly I raise my hand, I really want to touch his fur. I stop mid-way and look at him for confirmation, he nods his head and I touch his fur.

Oh my god, it's so soft. Really enjoying it, I hug him, he feels just like a warm gentle coat. Shockingly, he rubs his head against mine.

Pulling away from him, I pet his head. "Good boy." I say and grin. For a moment he just dully looks at me and then makes a scoffing sound, turning his head away. I burst out laughing.

"Oh my god, Tommy! Isn't this just cool!" Nina speaks to me for the first time since we came here and I turn to her. Like a little girl she pets Liam, her face lit with pure joy. I chuckle and shake my head.

Suddenly I'm nudged in the back by something. Turning around I see Harry looking at me and then lays on the ground. He nods at me and then to his back. "You want me to get on your back?" I question him and he nods.

I'm about to protest until I thought back to when Harry actually carried me here in his human state. He didn't have any problems with that, so why not?

Walking up to him, I swing one leg to the other side and hold his fur carefully.

Within seconds he dashes away from the place without me even knowing where we are going.
