When I awoke the next morning, I wanted to go check up on Jacob, so I got dressed and just put my long hair back into a ponytail.

Just as I was about to walk out of the door, Calypso walked in.

"Hello Calypso! I haven't seen you for a couple days. What have you been up to lately?" I asked cheerfully.

"None of your business." She replied coldly. The kind Calypso I knew seemed to have disappeared suddenly.

"Are you alright Calypso?" I asked.

"All you need to know is you better be prepared soon, because the Queens rule shall soon come to an end. " Said Zahara, and she turned away with a twist of her heel.

What was that all about? What Queen? Calypso did not seem like herself.

I shook it off and decided to not tell anyone and left for Jacob's room.

I walked along the cold castle floors, a chill hitting my body. No one was around which was odd because servants are always bustling around. Something was definitely up this morning.

I finally arrived at Jacob's door, and knocked twice.

He opened the door, dressed in tight white pants, and a blue coat, making his broad shoulders looking even bigger with then before.

"Why are you dressed so fancy?" I asked.

"This how I usually dress Annora." He said. "You haven't noticed how I dress yet?"

Now that I thought about it, I guess he did wear that everyday.

"Sorry, I don't notice stuff like that. I usually wear loose fitting clothes and boots so its weird for me to see you wear that. Why do you have to wear such formal clothing all the time?" I say.

"I am soldier always, even if we aren't in battle or anything at the moment." He said with a proud look on his face.

"Ah I understand. One thing I never understood though, why do you wear a wig? Doesn't that seem a little feminine?" I asked.

"Oh that." He chuckled, his laugh making butterflies flutter in my stomach. "It's for health. Just in case lice are around."

"Gross! Anyways, I thought today we should train together. I need to work more on my sword skills and maybe I can show you a few things." I said with a wink.

"Oh you think you can beat me? Keep telling herself that Annora." Said Jacob in a challenging tone.

"It's on British Boy." I said with a smile.

We walked out of Jacob's room and down out of the castle down to the beach. Before we got there thought we stopped by the artillery room where guns and swords were held. Swords ranging from daggers to long swords sat against the wall and I marveled at the amount of weapons the British had. That's probably the only thing I could respect them for. I tested a bunch of swords and finally found the perfect one for me. Jacob was having trouble finding one so I checked out their gun supply while he was rummaging through the swords.

I found a beautiful double barrel blake rifle with gold patterns on the trigger. I ran my fingers along it feeling the cold metal beneath my skin.

"Be careful Annora! I'm not sure if those things have bullets in them or not." He said walking over and taking my hand off the gun.

"Calm down Jake I can take care of my myself. I was just admiring the gun. It has beautiful designs." I said, moving his hand away.

"You are the only woman I ever met to have a love for weapons. I knew there was a reason I fell in love with you." Jacob said, and he leaned over and planted a soft kiss on my cheek.

My cheeks heated and up and I gave him a hug, falling into his big warm arms.

"Oh I remember what I wanted to ask!" Jacob said backing away.

"Oh? What?" I asked curiously.

"What's the deal with your eyes? I mean, that not they're bad or anything but they're odd colors not saying you're odd-"

I smiled at his babbling and stopped him there. "It's alright. I get a lot of questions from people who don't know who I am. It's a marking to show I am the Princess. One eye is green and the other silver. The green glows when I bond with Spirits. And the the silver eye shows my connection to the Dead. When I'm using my powers my eye tends to get really silver and bright. " I say.

"That makes sense." Said Jacob smiling.

"Oh and when I die, both my eyes with turn either all green or all silver. I never knew why but that's the way it goes. Aiden, my past life, his eyes are all green."

"That's quite amazing Annora. You're incredible." He said.

"Thank you." I said quietly, my face heating up all over again.

"Are you ready to go train? He asked.

"Of course! Let's go." I say.

We ran down to the beach and stood on a cliff overlooking the sea. The sun was hidden and grey clouds covered the sky. A cool air rested in the sky and it felt good against my skin. I took off my long sleeve shirt and threw it on the ground. I had a black undershirt on and my tight brown pants with my mens riding boots.

I was ready.

I steadied my sword in my right and stood in ready position.

"Let's see what you got British Boy." I said with confidence in my voice.

"It's on Pirate Girl." He said, his arm holding out his sword strong and steady.

We circled each other and we waited for each other to make the first move. Tension filled the air and Jacob wasn't moving so I thrust my sword forward, almost knicking his chest before he blocked me with his own sword. I couldn't move my sword so I tried knocking him off his feet my leg but he jumped right over my leg.

"I see you're better than I thought." I said with a smile.

"Don't underestimate me love." He said with a wink.

We danced around in a whirlwind of sword and heavy breathing, and and neither of us could land at least a small scratch on each other.

My arms were heavy with exhaustion and my sword felt like it was getting heavier and heavier. Jacob and I went back to walking around in circles around each other and I saw that a small boulder was in his path. I smiled slightly and Jacob saw me looking at the ground.

"What are you looking a-?" He tried saying, but then tripped over the boulder, causing him to stumble and lose his balance and attention, and hurridly poked him in his heavy coat in his chest.

"I was looking at the boulder you stumbled over causing you to lose." I said smirking.

"Why you! I call for a rematch." He said.

"I think I'm done for today. And it's not my fault you don't pay attention to your surroundings." I said laughing and his anger.

He let out a deep breath and smiled, his frown washed away. "You're right. I can be clumsy sometimes. You did amazing."

"You did quite well yourself. Let's bead back to my room." I said, and I grabbed his hand.

With weary limbs and dried throats, we walked back in comfortable silence as orange and pinks took its place in the evening sky.
