Shock registered on my face as the realization of what is happening falls upon me. The Dark Spider is actually going to bond with me.
"Are you really going to bond me?" I asked as I stood up form the hard ground.
"Why of course. But you must realize part of the darkness of my spirit shall be transferred into yours, but that is not a bad. Everyone must have a balance in their soul of dark and light, or else everything would wrong. You must learn to control when in war. If you do not, you could end up hurting someone. I mean it can be fun, but not when it's people you love getting hurt." Belmiro said. "This dark energy shall give you more power than ever before, but you must remember the light, or else evil things shall rise."
I nodded, taking in every word. I was ready for this.
"Princess of the Dead, are you ready?" asked the spider.
"Yes, more ready than I'll ever be."
"Alright, then let's begin."
Belmiro pointed at me to sit down cross-legged on the ground so I did just that.
"Now, you must listen to my every word, or else this will not work." spoke Belmiro in the dark light of the forest.
"To move on, you must let go. To move on, you must break through all barriers. Never live in your past, or else your future will be blocked. This is like the energy inside of you. To let me into your soul, you must let go, of the negative energy and replace it with light. Open your mind and soul, and just let go. Do not think of anything except my voice."
As Belmiro spoke, I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath, releasing through my mouth. I blocked out everything around, and listened to his deep voice. I felt my connections with the life around me, and the flow of energy.
I traced the flow of energy through my mind through to my heart. Except when I got their, there was something blocking my way.
Something clouded my heart, and I couldn't tell what it was. As I reached deeper, I realized what it was.
Love.
I could feel my heart torn between the two people I loved. But as looked even deeper, I knew who was my true love.
The cloud above my heart disappeared, and the flow was restored. I reached out, calling to Belmiro, beckoning him to let go.
I fell onto my back with a gasp as a energy hit that I had never felt before. Panic nipped at me, but I calmed the moment I heard Belmiro.
"Calm Annora. This is just me seeing my way into your spirit. You need to let me in as much as I need to let you in. Keep your eyes closed and just concentrate."
I breathed in hard in and out of my nose, but kept calm. I laid still on my back, my shirt getting soaked with sweat as I concentrated.
Their was pain all around me, clawing at me. But it felt good. I wanted more.
My back arched in pain as I felt a new energy flow from my heart all the way to my fingers and toes.
"BELMIRO!" I screamed through clenched teeth.
"Hold on, almost done." I heard Belmiro say through the darkness and pain.
I dug my fingernails into the ground, but did not open my eyes. I did feel a bright light through my eyelids though that made me want to open them so badly.
All of a sudden I felt a rush of pain in my heart and my eyes shot open with a burst of light.
The pain went away all of a sudden and I lay on the ground panting hard. Something felt different in me and I didn't know if I liked it or not.
