Loving the Dead

Chapter 28

I gently tiptoed down the hall to Jacob's room, my boots softly clicking against the stone floors. I looked around the halls, noticing not a single servant about. I then noticed out a window that it was already night.

I never even noticed how fast the day flew by.

I reached Jacob's door and knocked softly.

"Come in." Spoke a voice.

I entered, to see Jacob without a shirt. His body was muscular from all the years of training, and I kept staring at him.

"Hello darling, how are you?" He said with a smile as he slipped on a shirt, cutting of my gawking at his chiseled body. My face turned red from staring but I quickly shook it off.

"Just came by to check up on you. I haven't see. You much today." I walked up him, wrapping my arms around his waist as his lips met mine in a gently kiss.

He pulled back and flopped down on the bed, beckoning me to come next to him.

I smiled as I fell down next to him, my white fair flying around me.

"How about you stay for the night? We can tell each other stories and get to know each other more." Spoke Jacob.

"Jacob, I don't know, I need to get some res-" but he cut me off before I could finish.

"Please. Stay. Just for one night." He said softly, his eyes showing longing in them.

I sighed, looking away from his eyes.

What did I have to lose?

He was the one I loved.

I looked back up into his and gave him my answer by kissing him.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and our kiss deepened.

I showed all my love to Jacob, and he did to me. The night embraced us, comforting us. And for one moment we were able to forget all the world and it's troubles. We found happiness for a moment.

For just one moment.

I woke up that morning to the first morning light shining in my face. I wrapped in Jacob's arms, his warmth comforting me.

I tried to get out if the bed without disturbing him, but failed in doing so. He stirred and blinked opened his eyes.

"Morning my love." He said with a yawn as he stretched his arms above his head.

"Good morning." I replied sleepily as I laid back down and put my head in the nook of his neck. I felt his lips kiss the top of my head.

Jacob gently moved away from me, a look of puzzlement crossing over my face.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"I need to get ready for training today." He said as he grabbed his clothes for training on his dressed.

"Just stay here for w little while. I know you can't stand being away from me." I said, giggling.

"Oh yes Annora you're just soo irresistible." He said chuckling, rolling his eyes.

I reached out and grabbed his arm, pulling back onto the bed as he dropped all his clothes with a look of surprise.

"Annora I need to get rea-" but I cut him off by gently kissing him on the lips.

I broke away, my forehead leaning against his. "Just stay. Tell me stories!" I said excitedly, a smile on my face.

He sighed, but looked up with those icy blue eyes.
