Jacob and I fell asleep like that, laying silently next to each other on the floor. Neither of us felt like moving.
We woke up to the sun beaming through the window, with aching limbs. We had slept through the night.
"Morning love." said Jacob, he said as we sat up and he kissed me on the top of my head.
I responded by kissing him on the nose, and the comfortable silence was interrupted by the grumbling of my stomach.
I still hadn't eaten.
"Let's go get some breakfast." Jacob said as he stood up and pulled me up with him.
We walked hand in hand down the corridor and stone steps. Delightful smells filled my nose as we reached the dining hall.
We took seats at the head of the great table next to the King and dug in. Delicacies of all kind surrounded me.
"Good morning son." Said the King."Annora, my greetings to you." I nodded my head in response as I tried not to look like a mess as I scarfed down the food.
"So are you two ready for the attack Only five days until we start all our packing?" said the King happily as he served food onto his plate.
I froze as I looked as Jacob, but he just glanced at me, telling me to not be obvious.
I collected myself and smiled and nodded at the King.
"Yes Father, Annora and I have been training more and we both have improved immensely." Jacob said, beaming.
"That's great. Well if you don't mind I need to finish getting ready for the attack. Keep training you two." The King said as the edge of his eyes crinkled in a smile.
As soon as Jacob's Father left, I got up and walked straight back up to my room, slamming the door behind me.
I wish the whole stupid attack was gone.
I wish I would have never came over here.
I would have never met Jacob and never fallen in love.
I could be with Breccan and not have to worry about more people I'm afraid to lose.
I wasn't going to cry though. There wasn't a need to.
I sat down on the edge of my huge bed, my thoughts running wildly around in my mind.
My door opened and I saw Jacob come in, a sadness twinkling in his eyes.
"Annora I'm so sorry for my Fath-"
"It's not his fault don't worry. It's mine." I said cutting him off.
"Don't say that. This wasn't your fault at all." He said cutting the distance between and wrapping his arms around me.
"It's just it seems wherever I go, darkness and destruction always follow me." I said, backing out of his arms.
"Annora, there is a light that surrounds you that I have never seen before. Do not beat yourself up."
I leaned back into him, and kissed him lightly on the jaw. "I love you so much, but if you don't mind I need to go let out some steam. I also need to test my new powers." I said smiling.
"Oh so you got some new powers? Well then I'll let you go. I'll see you later my love." He said giving me one last squeeze before walking out the door.

I walked over and opened up my window, and crawled out to the balcony on the outside of the castle. The sun beat down upon me, and I stretched my sore limbs.
