"Don't mess with me because I can kick your ass."
"I didn't plan it to be like this." Justin said while stroking my arm with his thumb.
We were leaning against the cave wall, his arm hanging off my shoulders with me cuddled to his side. He was warm, surprisingly warm, and with the soft mist of the waterfall a few feet away from us, my skin began to form goosebumps.
"Like what?" I asked, my cheek was pressed against his form.
"Asking you to be mine like this. I thought we could have been a bit old fashioned. I could have taken you to dinner, walked you back to your dorm, given you a goodnight kiss and seen where that would have lead us."
Slightly sitting up, I looked up at him, "Did you want to do that?"
"It would have been nice." He confessed.
"Okay."
"Okay?"
"Yeah, if you want to do that I'm alright with it."
"You are definitely my angel." Justin murmured before pressing his mouth against mine with the perfect amount of pressure. He pulled back a few seconds later grinning at me.
I nuzzled against him again, "Why are you always so warm?"
"Cause of my powers." He clarified and where he swept his hand over my skin it would seem as my goosebumps would vanish from sight.
"I like it." I whispered clutching onto his shirt between my fingers.
"Mm, I'm glad."
We stayed there, me in his arms and him holding me against him.
"It's getting late." I told him.
"Yeah, you're right. We should probably be heading back."
Both of us began to stand up, we clasped hands together and I pulled him off the ground with me. I flew us back to the Academy making sure that the guards wouldn't notice us and thankfully they didn't.
Justin had left his window cracked open and it was easy access to his dorm. His walls were still plastered with his sketches but the wall adjacent to his bed was the one that held most of his sketches. Looking over it, there was one that caught my eye. It was a the sketch of a figure from a side view, her hair was tucked behind her ear and following down the length of her spine until it reached the small of her back. Her eyes were closed but her eyelids were framed with dark eyelashes that rested peacefully against her cheekbones.
Located on her ribcage was a small design. Studying it closer, I realized it was a bird tattoo looking back at Justin he was taking off his shirt.
"You got a new tattoo?" I asked still looking at the drawing in front of me.
"Yeah. I thought it would fit the occasion."
"How so?"
"I started drawing a dove the other day and when I was done I looked up their symbolism. It said that they're angels in disguise, a doppelganger. And also because of you, since you can fly like an angel and a dove." He licked his lips after he said that.
I found myself smiling at him. It was icredibly sweet of him to get a tattoo because of me. It was so... Justin like.
"Are you going to stay the night?"
"Scared you won't be able to warm your own bed tonight?" I teased.
"I can warm it perfectly fine.I just want to keep you warm during the night."
