~WARNING: FEELS TO BE ENCOUNTERED~
I slowly wake up, my head on Jackie's thighs. I sit up, looking at her, seeing that she is asleep. I smile lightly, and get up, straightening my clothes out quickly. I check my phone, seeing the time. But also seeing that I have five missed calls from mom... shit. I walk to a corner of the room, calling mom back.
"Hey mo-"
"Where are you! I have been calling you all night!"
I sigh, and pinch the bridge of my nose, she's obviously hungover. "Mom. I told you last night I was staying at Jackie's. Remember?"
"What the hell! No, I don't remember! You better get your ass home now!"
I scrunch my face slightly, and sigh. "Mom. Calm down. You're just hungover."
Mom screams in response, calling me a handful of snarky names. I sigh and figure I might as well ask her since she is already pissed off.
"Mom. Are you against gays by any chance?" I squeak out, waiting for her to blow up again. But all I here is pure silence, and the sound of my breathing.
"Lucy. I swear to god." I hear her mumble quietly, making me worry.
"You better not be fucking gay I swear."
I sigh, as hidden tears make their way to the corners of my eyes. "And what if I am?"
"If you are? Well then, you better not fucking come home." I hear her mutter lowly as she takes a deep breath.
"Mom, I'm dating a girl..." I sigh out, my heart racing.
My mom chokes back slightly, probably because she was drinking. "You're not my daughter then. Come get your shit and get out."
And with that, she hung up.
I soon realize tears were streaming down my face, as I slowly slide down the wall. My world crumbling in front of me.
Soon enough I hear some movement, I slowly look up. Jackie is standing up by her bed, her face coated in worry. "Lucy? Babe, what's the matter?"
She quickly scrambles to my side, pulling me against her. That's when I realized how much I was holding back. I sobbed loudly into her shirt, gripping at it as if she would crumble away from me.
Soon enough I calm down enough to explain to her what happened. She kisses my forehead, and smiles lightly. "I'll go get your things, and give that bitch a piece of my mind."
I smile lightly, and shake my head. "I can go by myself."
Jackie stood up and shook her head, quickly leaving and going to get her mom, to go get my things.
I quickly get up, and try to get to her, but they are already outside. Curse this small house.
