Derek's POV
Driving up to my garage, I saw Peter's car parked near the curb.
"What the hell..." I whispered after I parked my car, and headed up to my loft.
Just as the doors opened, Peter was already standing in the doorway waiting for me with his arms crossed over his chest.
"What do you want?" I asked, passing right by him.
"We, um, need to talk."
"Where's Savannah?" I asked as I hang my jacket behind a chair.
"She's at the clinic."
As I walked over to him, he slowly took some steps back before the table behind stopped him.
"Is something wrong?"
"No, she's fine. It's just...I don't know what happened?"
Furrowing my eyes, Peter's eyes refuse to make eye contact.
"What happened?" I questioned.
"She doesn't remember you!" He blurted out.
"What are you talking about" I laughed as I rested my hands on my hips.
Watching as he turns around, he pulls out a little black box.
"She gave me this..."
Walking over to the table, I grabbed the box and open it, revealing the ring that I gave her.
"Is this some kind of joke?"
"It's a really long story-"
"Then I have all day. Tell me, Peter." I yelled.
"We were in the woods, I heard the riders coming and I told her to run, that I would find her after."
"And did you?"
"Yes. She was looking at the house you build for her and she seemed fine until she asked who build it."
Taken back, I rest my hands on the concrete table.
"Derek...she doesn't remember you. She doesn't even know you exist..."
"That's a lie. You're lying!"
"If I was, do you think I would be here right now! I'm trying to tell you what I saw..."
Glancing over at the bed, her shoes were hidden underneath, along with the bag she keeps in her car. I could still imagine her walking around the loft, grabbing something to drink in the kitchen or coming back down from playing the piano.
"How." I hissed.
"I don't know. But...it's worse, Derek."
"What can be worse than Savannah not remembering me?"
"She thinks that we're getting married."
"What?" I chuckled in a shocked tone.
Savannah's POV
Standing over the ghost rider, I tilt his head underneath the light fixture above me.
"What can you see?" Hayden asked.
Grabbing one of the retractors on the tray beside me, I pull open its skull to give me a better view.
"Well, Scott's right. The pineal gland in missing. Who did you say did this again?"
"Mr. Douglas," Theo whispered cautiously.
"The physics teacher?" I said in a monotoned voice.
Ripping off the gloves, I throw them on the tray before I leaned back on the counter behind me.
