Derek's POV
Opening my eyes, I eyes blink a few times until they finally focus on the bright medical light in the next room. Seeing a glimpse of Savannah, she was sitting on the counter with nothing but black tights and a sports bra, as her hair was just freshly washed.
"Je me suis promis, j'ai promis à tous que je les protégerais. Et j'ai échoué." I heard Savannah whisper to herself.
Looking around the waiting area, Deaton walks out of storage room beside me holding a small container with metal fragments inside.
"How is she doing?" I asked, sitting up straighter.
"She's been speaking French for the last hour..." He said.
Standing up from my chair, I collect our jackets that I hung on the chair beside me last night.
"Derek, there's something you should now..." Deaton whispered.
"What is it?"
"Scott called this morning. Their house was gunned down last night, shot everything and almost everyone inside."
Narrowing my eyes, I hesitantly glance over at Savannah.
"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying...Savannah's not going to come out of this. She lost Emma last night, her parents are at the hospital in critical condition, Lydia's been put in ICU-"
"You think it's going to trigger her." I blurted out.
"We know her better than anyone...more importantly, we know what happens when she's pushed over the edge. We don't need another mysterious fire printed in the newspaper again." Deaton said, backing away and out the door.
"C'est le guerre. Monroe, paire pour cela. Je me preoccupe se cele me transforme en qui j'etais avant, elle meurt. Et je veux qu'elle me voire, tire ce declencheur." Savannah whispered, just as she brough her knees close to her chest.
"Savannah?" I said, standing in the middle of the doorframe with our jackets in my hand.
"...I heard the phone call." She whispered, staring at Emma's body laying on the metal table.
"What do you want to do?" I asked her, setting the jacket on the counter beside me.
"I want to wake up..." She whispered as her eyes started to form tears.
"I feel like I'm in this horrible dream. My body keeps shaking controllably and I can't control it...Derek" She cried softly.
"Hey..." Grabbing her shoulders, I stood in front of her holding her close to my chest as possible.
"I...I-"
"Don't talk...just, let it all out," I told her, slowly feeling her arms let go of her knees and wrap themselves around my waist as I comb her hair back.
"I called in-, Oh sorry," Dani said, as she walked in the Clinic.
"It's alright, Dani. What did they say?" Savannah blurted out, wiping away her tears.
"They answered...physically." She said, glancing over at her side.
Curiously, Savannah and I walked over to where Dani was standing in the lobby to find Ash, Liam, and Arraya standing in the waiting area.
"You got my call..." Savannah whispered.
"I heard you..." Ash said, as his eyes looked bloodshot red.
"So...what's the plan," Arraya said.
"Right now...my family is my first priority. In Gerard's eyes, I'm weak as of right now. I can't give him another reason to attack me."
