Walking out of a patients room, I started heading down to the nurse's station to finish off some work when I get a call from Scott.
"Hey, Scott."
"Hey, are you busy right now?" He blurted out.
"I'm heading out in about 10 minutes why?"
"There's been a problem, could you come to the station."
"Yeah, sure. Is everything-"
"And bring Derek, too!" I heard another voice yell through the phone before hanging up.
"Is everything okay, Dr. Hale?" A nurse asked.
Sliding my phone back in my lab coat, I stood up and gathered my things, including my patient files.
"Yes, thank you. Have a good night."
Running out the hospital, with my lac coat on, purse in hand, and files tucked underneath my arm, I threw everything in the front seat just before I back out in the parking lot and hesitantly drove to the loft.
Derek's POV
Leaning against the concrete table, I flip back and forth through the blueprints of the house trying to find a place to place an office, when I heard a car park out in front of the building.
The sound of ruffling and heels hitting the ground trail into the lobby and up the elevator, but just when the door opened their heels stopped.
Glancing over to the door, I stood up straighter waiting for Savannah to walk through, but after a few minutes of staring at the wall, she had opened the door.
Watching her walk in still wearing her Lab coat, she held her purse in her hands which was filled with what seemed like patient files and cautiously stepped into the room.
"Scott needs us..." She whispered.
"Okay..."
Heading over for my jacket, she stood in the middle of the loft just glancing around until I was ready to leave.
"...I...I can drive there, Savannah." I blurted out.
"He doesn't know, Derek. If we come in different cars, he'll know." She whispered.
"It beats having the awkward drive there."
"Our situation isn't important, the hunters are and they're killing anything in their way." She blurted out.
"And your life, isn't?" I added as I walked towards the door.
With jacket in hand, I headed outside with Savannah and into her car as we drove over ot the police station in silence.
Savannah's POV
Finally parked at the police station, I stepped out of the car and started to take off my lab coat and heels, when Derek walked around to the driver's side.
"What?" I asked.
"Are we ever going to talk about it?"
Rolling my eyes, I reached behind me and grabbed my boots and jacket.
"The wedding isn't until a few months-"
"You think we can resolve our situation in a day. Are you kidding me?"
"What else do you want me to do, Derek. This is our home, we grew up here, and there are people trying to tear us apart to get it back. This is a life or death situation, it's the only way I know." I said, before closing my door and headed to the police station with him by my side.
