Training to fall

The party

Immediately I was hit with the sound of the blaring music and the prominent smell of alcohol. I felt someone jumping around behind me and turned around to see a blur of green come sprinting towards me.

"Ella" Michael started, looking me up and down, "I see you've dared to leave the comfort of your bed."

I was completely confused as to why he came straight to me rather than Luke, I mean yeah we're friends now because of hemmings but I did not expect that!

I arched an eyebrow at this and retaliated, "And I see you've died your hair again. What do you call that colour? Environmental waste?"

I turned on my converses and took a few steps back to talk to Addy so he couldn't think of a better response. He just faced Luke and they started a chat which lasted a solid half hour.

After a while he came over and introduced Calum to Addy. They seemed to hit it off quite quickly, I mean they were snogging for the rest of the night whenever they came across each other.

I stayed by Luke's side for most of the night except the split moments Addy came over to tell me how her drunk self loves Calum. Luke and I were getting along well to be honest! We shared a few kisses but I knew it didn't mean much to him as he was completely drunk off his head. I told him I was going to spend the rest of the night with Addy so I didn't annoy him or seem desperate so I went to find her and cal. Calum's a pretty funny guy and I think she really likes him. He's all over her but somehow I feel like he's going to regret calling her 'baby cakes' at least 26373828 times.

Hours later I found myself in a room up stairs alone totally intoxicated swaying to the music. It was completely pitch black so attempting to find the light was challenge especially when I was utterly drunk. After a couple of minutes tripping over my own feet and clicking a few plug sockets I found the light!

It flashed a bit but when the light finally came on I noticed I was not the only one in that room! There was two people, one of which I was familiar with but I could not make it out as the alcohol had left me temporarily with blurred vision. I stumbled forward to get a closer look at them both to find out it was Luke in the bed with another girl!
 
He just about managed to utter my name "Ella..."

I dropped my drink on the floor resulting it to smash before running out of the room, down the wide stairs, crammed with people, just about managing to hold my tears back. Addy had seen me running down the stairs to the door so she followed.

When we both finally made it out side, I started to scream.

Addy held me asking "Ella what the hell happened?!"

"It's Luke" I cried out "he was in bed with another girl after kissing me for most of the night, I left him for two bloody minutes!! I knew it was too go to be true"

"Ella are you sure it was him"

But before I had time to reply Luke was yelling my name running towards us.

"Let me explain" he said in a calming manner almost as if nothing happened!

I stormed over to him screaming "no, just leave it! I don't want to talk to you ever again! Leave me alone Luke"

Grabbing Addy by the arm, we walked back to hers, it was just a few doors down so it wasn't too bad.

My phone was constantly buzzing from receiving message after message from Luke trying to explain but I couldn't be asked to read them in the state I am in right now. Quite rightly, I don't want to talk to him ever again.
