-----Kylie's P.O.V-----
"She what?" I ask, shifting my phone to my left hear to make sure I'm hearing properly.
"She kissed Luke." Niall replies.
"Luke Hemmings? The bad boy, hipster, perfect Luke Hemmings?" I ask.
"Yeah. Him." says Niall. I bite down on my lip. As much as I love Niall, I've had a crush on Luke since forever.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah." He responds."I saw it with my own eyes. And Louis flipped out and punched Luke in the nose." I gasp.
"Aren't they supposed to be best friends or something?" I ask, twisting my hair into a messy bun.
"Not anymore, I guess." says Niall. An awkward silence lingers in the air. I hate how Niall and I always run out of things to talk about. I hear a loud banging noise in the backround.
"Niall, what the hell are you doing? There's OTHER People here who need to use the phone too, you know." A strong British accent stands out to me. Louis.
"Use your own phone, idiot. I'm talking to Kylie."
"Um..... why is Louis at your house? You know, nothing out of the ordinary.... except that you two are bitter enemies!" I ask.
"Honestly, I don't even know. When isn't he here?" Niall jokes. I picture him running his fingers through his long golden locks and smile.
Not wanting to cause anymore awkward pauses in our conversation, I say I have to go and hang up. I set my phone down gently on the wooden table and go plop down on our soft leather couch. I set my bowl of goldfish down on the coffee table, wrapping my cuddly pink blanket around me and grabbing the remote control. I channel flip for a few minutes, then Finally click on my favorite show, Duck Dynasty.
The trill of a door bell startles me out of my sleep. I sit up, rub my eyes, and reluctantly walk to the front door. I'm surprised to see Louis standing at the doorstep, hands shoved in his pockets, looking awkward.
"Um, hey..." I start, trying to make some kind of conversation.
"Hey." He replies. "Can we talk?"
"Sure." I say, holding the door open for him. "Come on in." He slowly steps into my house and is still standing in the front entryway by the time I make it back to my spot on the comfy couch. "You coming?" I ask with a playful smile.
"Oh, um, yeah." Says Louis, running his fingers through his scruffy hair. "So..." He starts, his eyes flicking towards the T.V. "Duck Dynasty?" He asks, his sea foam eyes wide with surprise.
"Um, Yeah." I say. "I love it. It's my favorite show."
"Mine too." He says, sending a smile my way. I think it's the first time he's genuinely smiled at me.
"Oh yeah?" I ask, crossing my arms over my chest. "I bet I can beat you in a contest."
"Oh, you're on Love!" he says, smiling cheekily.
We spend the next couple of hours doing Duck Dynasty quizzes and stuffing our faces with goldfish. Over time, I realize what Violet sees in Louis. Not only is he amazingly funny, but he's pretty good looking too. I forget about all the Violet/ Louis/ Luke drama for a while, and just concentrate on having fun. And not falling for Louis. I mean, who could resist those sea green eyes and that beautiful smile? Suddenly, his hand brushes against mine sending tingles down my spine. "Sorry," He mumbles,
"I didn't mean...." "It's fine..." I say, feeling my cheeks turning red.
"Maybe you'll like this, then." He says with a sly grin. Then Louis leans in and kisses me. Not on the fore head. Not even on the cheek. He kisses me on the lips.
